In this video, I share one of my all-time favorite cakes. This sour cream cake had been my brother and I's Birthday cake every single year. The cake is super easy and comes together in just a few minutes. Although it might be unusual, the topping is made up of whipping cream and sour cream. Finally, it is dusted with cinnamon sugar which gives it a nice sweetness. Now I usually decorate this cake with lots of colourful M and M's but mandarin slices are also a great choice. It's definitely a cake you should try out and is sure to be a show-stopper on any occasion, not just birthdays.

Dough:
4 room-temperature eggs
1 cup sugar
2 packages vanilla sugar or a good splash vanilla extract
3 cups flour
1 package baking powder or 2 teaspoons baking powder
1 cup oil
1 cup Fresca or any lemon lime soda
Sour Cream Filling:
400 grams sour cream
400 ml heavy whipping cream
2 packages vanilla sugar or 2 tablespoons sugar and a splash vanilla extract
Cinnamon Sugar:
3 tablespoons sugar
1 teaspoon cinnamon
Optional Decor:
M and M's (100000% recommend) or 1 can of mandarin slices
