It’s been a few weeks since my last upload:apologies for the gap-I’ve been busy with a few commissions thankfully!
So, for this demonstration I thought I would show you how I try to keep the loose, lively feel of a drawing done at speed, using a loose grip and constantly looking at the subject rather than the drawing. You’ll be surprised at just how accurate your drawing is using this method, but obviously if you’re not keen on loose lines and prefer an accurate, almost technical drawing then this method may not be for you.
I’m going to add some watercolour to the drawing, and I’upload that over the weekend.
As always, please ask away with any questions or comments- I always look forward to hearing from you all.
The materials used in this video:
Comic SP Multiliner pen,0.1 nib. These pens aren’t cheap, but they are refillable, and nibs can be replaced.
Sea white of Brighton A5 watercolour journal: my go-to sketchbook, with great paper quality that takes line and watercolour equally well. The other feature I love is that the binding allows you to open a double page spread nice and flat-great for panoramic landscapes.
