Quick shop update! (French cleat wall!)

Жыл бұрынThis is just an update video, showing the progress in my shop renovation, rather then a "how to" video since there are literally hundreds of good videos already out there that explain the ins and outs of a French cleat tool wall. If you happen to find yourself left with questions, please leave a comment and I will be happy to answer them!

Perfect ! The wall looks very clean and "clear" + with the light, it looks homely...a nice welcome for the entrance of the apartment .

I love the LED lights on the French cleat wall. And hanging it over the railing as a partition wall was a great idea.

Okay, you inspired me to attempt a DIY tiny houseboat. Now I’m considering lining its interior walls with French cleats! I’m enjoying your journey, Adrian, and look forward to the next episode.

Thanks, believe it or not, I do all my filming AND editing on my phone since I don't own a computer or laptop. It is really amazing what is possible these days! (Of course you know that already, I just clued in it is you Shawn!😄)

@@adrianwoodworm that’s pretty ironic, because the project that I’m working on right now is also on my iPhone, simply because it has more storage space than anything else😎👊 Sorry to geek out here, but what app are you using?

@@shawndean2788 I am using the inshot app and I am super happy with it. They come up with constant positive updates and it works really smooth overall. I payed for the lifetime pro version which was in the neighborhood of $60 canadian I believe, definitely worth it. Before I had the adobe premium rush. It was a lot more expensive and extremely frustrating. Sometimes I would edit for days and loose it all during the rendering process! Even though the concept of the app was good, it was just not workable, too many bugs and it would get hung up non stop. The actual PC version might work well but the app is absolute garbage. The customer support service was useless too, they always told me how sorry they are and how they would fix their problems with the next update (but they never did!)

Normally brilliant, but this time not so much. I think you should have a separate clamp rack. Especially for those long clamps. They take up too much "Cleat" room under them... They prevent the system from being more useful by taking up more "real estate" on the board. Also, the LED's IMHO are silly and not needed in a shop. Waste of energy to install and $ in that application. Sorry. Looking forward to the next video.

All good, you are allowed to disagree with what I am doing😁 The good thing is that if it turns out not to be a good use of the space, it will be very easy to change in the future. Also, the led lights cost next to nothing to purchase nor to run them electricity wise but they add a lot when it comes to aesthetics when set to one color. Completely unnecessary of course, but so are all mood lights and yet they have their place.

Absolutely another Splendid video I have been thinking of building a French cleat system for quite some time now after watching your video I think I will move forward with the project that way I can put some of my larger tools up out of the way it gets annoying having tools propped up against the wall in my garage thanks for the video young man

I can highly recommend it. I used to trip over all my clamps every day! Besides that, I simply enjoy the look of it too!
