He was on fire back in this era! I always enjoyed is acting. Footloose? He had some true star power back then. Tremors was excellent as well.

Kevin Bacon's bike is a fixie. Lawrence Fishburne's is not. Fixed gear bikes suck. They're junk. But a Raleigh Competition bike did not come fixed. A Raleigh Competition bike is a very good bike. I have an 86 Raleigh Competition but with 10 gears. And brakes.

I think that the production company used several different bicycles depending on the scenes that Kevin Bacon was riding. Some are fixie, some freewheel, some pedal brake, and some like the one where he and his girlfriend are in the apartment scene are designed for that kind of stunt riding with the fixed VERY low gear, saddle, straight blade fork, and steep head tube angle.

Love Quicksilver movie. Despite the Snowflake cyclists that have to knitty-picky every movie about cycling. Any wonder no one bothers anymore making pedal movies.
