Last month, Donald Trump summoned top lobbyists and executives from the oil and gas industry to Mar-a-Lago and proceeded to solicit a $1 billion bribe, multiple outlets report. In exchange, he would basically roll back all climate regulations and let the industry run wild in his second term.

Read the Constitution of the United States. The conduct may not be legally disqualifying, but law and morality is not the same. You do not have to vote for a candidate who has a policy platform you disagree with and that has always been the case in a functioning democracy. You could even stand for election, so long as you legally qualify to be a candidate.

Drilling?? They’ve said straight out that they’re NOT interested in drilling for more oil. They have tons of drilling permits that they’re not using. All of the interviews with oil executives had the same responses. Their first priorities are to their stockholders and their exorbitant profits! 🤬
