This came at the perfect time for me. I'll soon be 71. I'm widowed, retired and lost much of the time. I make quilts for those in need of comfort. I haven't embroidered or done needle work in a long time. I've been wanting to again for the feeling of peace and calm that came with it. . But I thought "then what do I do with it?". Thank you.

Hi Anna! So happy to make time for KZfaq and find you with your new word looking at me…. Up early here EST I am catching up…. I love hand quilting and mixing in wrapped stitches… I have never pondered milliners needles for this…. Thank you gorgeous explaining that rationale!!!! From 1 nurse to another thanks… I love the contentment your sue spargo bees give me! Thanks for the chat and love the heart you made from wool

I am so pleased that you stitched the bees. Much more attractive. The Trees I look forward to seeing done in Asian fabrics. The heart is cute and good to see a unique edging added. I like the embroidered floral piece too. I intend doing more embroidery this year after watching Ariane a few years ago and buying so many varied threads (which I've still to use!!😮) - and hope to make more progress on Sue Spargo's Circle Sampler. My smallest Yazzii bag holds my tools for all needle crafts - including most of my Tulip needles in their containers - and various needlecases.

Thank you Anna for the Millner explanation of that Needle. I think everybody needs a course on needles why there’s so many what they’re used for. Maybe there’s a KZfaq out there on needles😂

Sitting in a hotel (we’ll get home tomorrow), stitching on a small wool project, Single Stem Flower by Kathy Cardiff of The Cottage at Cardiff Farms. The pattern was in the June 2012 issue of American Patchwork & Quilting. I see the kit is sold out so I don’t know if the pattern is available any longer. I love the simple design and the wools I chose for it from my stash. It’s been fun tacking down the wool applique while you’ve kept me company.

Just wanted to say that I thoroughly enjoyed this episode. I used to be an avid cross stitcher and I gave it up, and so don’t watch much of the stitch roadies. Also, I am not a quilter. I just do not like sewing on a machine, I don’t like the precision of cutting out shapes, and you have to be pretty precise with quilting to make sure that the pieces all go together, but I love watching your show and I do get a lot of ideas. Well, this show I absolutely loved because I am a hand embroiderer and the show just spoke to me. now at the age of 82, I have decided that I’m going to start doing appliqué. I am also an avid punch needler. There is a lot I have done in punch needle and thought I could incorporate that into appliqué. Anyway, you are a definite enabler and I think you for it.

Hello Anna, When I watch each episode of your quilt roadies I do my workout, this morning when you spoke of a book of poems I immediately thought of my book Apples Of Gold.. A sweet lady from my Moms church gave it to me in the 80s.. she lived to be 102 and still had a sound mind. You make me remember, think, be grateful, be happy. You make me laugh and I even talk back to you.. I appreciate all your videos. Love seeing what you are creating. Thank you.. Maggey❤

I just watched Queen Bees a week ago, I enjoyed it a lot. I was also wondering if my future would be like that…. I watched a couple of other ‘coming of age’ movies. ‘ Our Souls at Night’ with Robert Redford and Jane Fonda. Then recently I watched another movie with Robert Redford and Nick Nolte, ‘A Walk in the Woods’. I thought they were good too. Love your Bee pillow, so very cute!

When I saw your Instagram and Facebook posts about about your bee hive pillow from Pioneer Quilts I went looking in a bag that I thought I’d put the kit bag in. Opps not there but look I found a little block swap quilt that just needed to be trim and bound. So I had put a cute print that worked with the theme of the swap. So binding cut and sewn on hanging pocket added. I just need to make a label but I want to find the names of the gals who participated. So I’ve contacted a friend to see if she still has the list of names. See you in the morning on zoom!

Gosh Anna, so much of what you said today rings true for me. Thank you so much for your wonderful conversations. I finally put away all my Christmas decorations today (I enjoy having them displayed). Then I hung up a Valentine wall hanging today. I made it in 2002. Multi colored log cabin hearts. Now I have my quilt sewing projects ready for this evening. I'm always happy to listen to you and see what is happening in the bee hive. Please take care. Marion in Gresham.

Anna, I loved this episode. Firstly, I apologise because I paused it to check out the Queen Bee movie trailer. I will definitely be finding it to watch as, a woman of a ‘certain age’ I will love it, as will my friends. I loved that you put bullion bees on your sampler, much cuter than a button. We also know milliners needles as straw needles. Also thought if you make another Raspberry Rabbits sampler you might try ‘grub roses’ using the bullion stitch they are so sweet. Thanks. Ros🇦🇺
