The PoE2 announcement is a huge W for both PoE and Diablo fans. Both games will compete and just drive each other to get better. D4 is in a really good spot right now, and I expect it to only get better now. Also, couch co-op is wicked fun. I miss the days my ex and I would co-op Diablo 3. She made some really great toons.

I played Diablo 1 on ps1 coop with my friend back in the day, one of the fondest gaming memories. No split screen, so it is nothing new or undoable.

It's absolutely fantastic that they are taking the time they need to get the game ready. The Beta will probably last for 6 months with no downtime except when they need to patch it. They have to test all the systems, balance and economy. When the beta ends, the game will launch for everybody the same day. So if the beta starts in November/December im guessing the game wil Officially launch for everyone between May/July 2025

Dumb title. Poe can’t kill D4. It’s mainly different crowds. For the casual Diablo player D4 is pretty good and has potential if they keep it up. Both games will exist simultaneously

The maasive shift with PoE2 in terms of slower and more visceral gameplay will probably kill diablo 4, just cuz the full game release next year will be free. The only biggest progress i have noticed is the original sony showcase that was... Yesterday or 2 days ago, cant remember, said Early Access and not a beta anymore. Ergo i would say its a massuve progress if they decided to delay it to december for that reason. I do disagree with you that it is worrying about it only being an early access. It was already mentioned before that december was the likely release and not in the summer. Summer was just the best case scenario. I personally am glad they are waiting. More content is always a win

'm a designer, and I've had significant issues with clicking due to a long-term finger infection. To address this, I decided to use an Xbox controller for Diablo 4 ( pc) . After testing the controller for this type of game, there's no way I'm going back to the click-to-move method. The feeling and control over the character are simply far superior.

POE 1 on console is garbage, that was one of the reasons I bought PC. If this time controller will be better than mouse and keyboard? Whatever. I just connect dualsense to bluetooth stick on PC, problem solved.

Since there's no Paladin in D4, and the game is rather boring past the mid game, I can't wait for the Templar in POE2, hopefully some cool holy skills and affixes.

POE is not intimidating. It’s just a huge time waster. I’d rather be making a lot of money than spend 100 hours to learn all their silly systems and cheese mechanics. 😂

I think your over hitting on the couch play is a little silly, just like I think their over selling that is equally silly. The fact if 2 players want to go 2 different ways, or push verse sell their stuff means you have 2 core gamers thus they probably have their own consoles / plan to buy another one because they both enjoy gaming. However for couch play there is normally the core gamer (me), and the part time gamer (my wife) that means mostly she goes along with whatever I am doing, and doesn't learn much about the games, but passively enjoys playing alongside me. So if I want to go to town we go to town. If I want to do this dungeon to unlock something for me we do it. But with friends 5 bucks says they have their own house, and console. Also the beta end of year get over it....do you want the same bs most games hit? I get patches will be needed, but taking time to work on a good game....

First of I find its so sad these videos "One is Trash another is greatest game ever" (As the title of this video suggest). ive been on console 20+ years, ive never and will never play couch coop, all my friends dont either, there is no need for couch coop we all have our own consoles, couch coop is for office parties and events, why on earth would a friend come to my house to play when he has his own comfortable setup at his home, couch coop big L and a W for the 0.00000000001% that might use it once a year

POE will be terrible - 100% confident. Their janky combat and bad programming just like POE1. Blizzard are terrible but D4 is leaps and bounds better than POE especially in season 4 cause the combat is so seemless. I’m still going to try it out, but unless the combat is smooth and seemless the rest of the content means nothing. If they can overcome that hurdle then I’ll admit I was wrong. Graphics do look amazing.❤
