There is a 100% chance you killed all humans, and it's not because of the Sun. Presumably, said infinite plane has a depth and density, thus having mass. Now, while the mass is infinite, it will not create a black hole. This is because the mass is spread out. However, the mass would be great enough to mess with orbits of everything in Sol system, causing the various celestial bodies to slam into this new wall. Depending on it's thickness, they would either punch through it, or just put a crater into it on their first pass. Eventually though, they would come to rest upon it though. Now, with Earth, things might be more interesting. I am assuming that the plane spawns at 0 relative translative velocity to Earth's center of mass. (It can't spawn with any rotary velocity, as that would cause parts of it to spin faster than speed of light). Earth's surface is crushed, as it rolls along the plane, eventually Earth is embedded into the plane by the plane's gravity.

@@infiniteplanes5775 If it was a massless barrier as you meant it, it would still have very destructive effects, but you are right that we would have a chance at survival. Basically, it would have to not cut us off from the Sun, as you mentioned, but also not have the Sun slam into it later (would have to appear in front of Earth as it orbits). Even best case scenario would result in wherever you live getting obliterated, but most of humans could survive.
