You, good sir, for forgetting that a good majority of horror games are *dependent* on jump-scares. You’re right in saying that there are plenty of games where horror can be achieved purely through tension and atmosphere, but let’s be honest... Outlast (for example) is just a masterpiece *because* both games have excellently timed jump scares. Also, I think the guy’s point is that it’s not necessarily a thriller-type game, so much as it is a sudden one. At least understand *that* much, if not me.
