Freediving in BC had it's ups and downs... Pun intended? yeah, kind-of. In all seriousness, the visibility come spring often turns many different shades of green. Some days are darker than others. Watch the water turn darker and darker over the course of 5 days. Always a fun time, but in this edit I spend much more time above the water than below and take in sights off Mayne Island, Nanaimo, Chemainus and Galiano. R.I.P winter vis...

Was born July 4th. There was a news report on my family’s history there and I have a copy of that. I believe it was cabbage island you were wondering about off south end of saturna. Nice content sir.😊💁🏻♂️👧🏾❤️

Oh I believe you are correct. I hear there are 6 gill sharks that school around cabbage island in the 80' range. I'd love to see one. Do you have a link to the news report? I'll check it out! Thanks for the comments.

Haha grass is always greener, cheers. And don't sweat it! I was happy to explore the Island, I knew the diving might not have been the greatest due to the conditions, etc. it was a really fun day.

Cool island! Scenery is amazing, really like the effort and production quality of your videos. That scallop was huge! Probably my fav youtuber to live vicariously thru while I'm itching to get my wetsuit. I live in Bellingham so not too far, now I want to go camping at Mayne this summer. Love those costal & rural vibes. Great vid - Dauble

Picturesque videos....until the blob lol. Ya I remember your foot getting a piece of the urchin. I'd jump out too lol. So I stopped hauling oysters, because human waste is causing a no bivalve haul....so I'm building Yurts, hot tubs, sleeper cabins, like the ones up in the trees.. that's my company lol...I love it...but the cedar dust is brutal. I was born on saturnalia in1959. Named after my David and lyall harbour. David lyall Bellamy. We ivied there for years and have friends still there

I need to visit Saturna. It's one of the few Gulf islands I haven't been to in recent times. I believe I've been there in the early 90's.
