UPDATE** I ended up getting a Deltran Battery Tender. Brought the battery back to life!
In today's adventure, my bike decides not to start. Oh and...can I keep up with my buddy CHiP? Join me for a little bit of Canyon Carving in the Santa Monica Mountains.

If you get the Optimate 4 CANBUS, you can plug it directly into the aux port on the side of the bike. It's highly convenient.

I heard about that over on the forums. I ended up installing a Deltran Tender instead. So far, no issues! Thanks for watching.

PSA: Stunt Rd is a bumpy canyon. If you have stiff suspension or have a bike without auto electronic damping, the ride becomes a bit unstable. Remember to ride at your own risk. Stay safe everyone & thanks for watching. Peace!

I rode that canyon while I was down there with the rest of the R9T guys there in SoCal. Jeff took us on some amazing rides over the 3 months I was there, (May-July 2019) and you missed out on some good times that included having Jay Leno pull up beside us.

Ahh man! That’s awesome. Was busy with work travel during that time & definitely missed out on a lot of riding. Met Jay Leno off camera at The Rock Store, he’s a humble dude. I’ll catch you one of these days Chris. I plan to ride more next year ✌️

Goooood Morning! It's the battery. She just needs a recharge. Don't stress about replacing it. An overnight recharge usually sorts that out. Also, great video as always. Now for us to get Boris to upload a video 🤣👍🏽👍🏽

I agree with you. I had this kind of problem with my Ducati and it was the battery {quite low). An 40$ amazon battery charger and one night will fixe it.

@@Christophedeoli I had the same issue my R9T.. then silly me got caught, out in the wild, with a dead battery 🤣 An overnight cycle cleared it right up. Sidestand needs to ride more 😋

I bought a BMW battery charger for my R90 Pure and it exercises and keeps the battery "healthy". I live in a place where the winters get cold and wet, so I keep my bike in storage for several months. After only one and a half months in storage the battery had lost 38% charge and the charger came in handy. Nothing is to good for my R90.

Motorcycling.....the second most fun you can have with your right hand and $20. 😎👍 Get a Battery Tender bro. My batteries went from lasting 1.5 years to 3 or 4 years.

Definitely buy a battery tender. You’re like me and take long breaks. Not only does it keep your battery full it keeps it from aging as rapidly. So a battery that may last two years can last five.

Get an Optimate 3 or 4 and add a lead from your battery and plug the bike in when you will not be riding for more than a week. The battery on my 2011 F800r was still the original when i traded it in 8 years later.

Nice ride and good luck with your starting issues. It shouldn’t have been happening after some brisk riding even if your battery was tired at the start. Maybe you have a loose ground?

The battery was pretty drained since I didn’t have it hooked up to a tender. It charged right back up with a Deltran. Thanks for watching!
