From my 4 years of having an R33 (RIP) stay away from cheap coil packs, they’re all junk. Also with the Freddy intake get the mating surface machined flat, they’re normally all warped to some degree! Been admin on the Skyline forum for a few years so I’ll send you a PM to see if you need workshop manuals or anything like that 🤙🏻

A friend of mine has a Freddy manifold on his gtst(polished) and works/looks great. Just make sure the flange is flat, clean up the casting and polish/paint it and it's golden.

stock turbos that get high flowed are good for around 300kw-400hp on e85 those turbos work best. depending what gate you use and spring in gate. ive had that set up before my current forged rb25 build. the fake greddy intakes can cause cyl 1 and 2 to air starve. ebay ones usually warped get them to machine it flat. while you had exhaust manifold out should of got a turbosmart external gate put on there or even on turbo exhaust housing. make around 440hp with that. oem coilpacks work the better than splitfires. walbro 460/ fuel pump relay. since you gone forward facing might as well go 1000cc top feed injectors. turbosmart fuel pressure reg. 3" straight through exhaust. intercooler 300x600x76+ rb love it. 2.5"-3" cooler pipes. go haltech ecu! and while you got motor out might as well do the whole timing service kit. good luck

Cool thing about the "freddy" mani is that its basically a rough casting that just needs some massaging to get right. As long as there's no voids in the casting, grab a Dremel and smooth out the rough casting on the inside and then port match it and its all good.

You can paint the valve cover the color of your R33. That dark red looks nice and would blend nice with the black you painted on the block/manifolds.

Nice "Hydro turbo" setup. Did it also few years back on an BMW E90 320d. The "Hydro turbo setup" got 177kw on the wheels, more then 177kw the auto transmission starts to freak the fuck out.

Definitely get the Freddy face machined flat as they’re typically uneven and don’t seal. Also while you’re there you can always do some port matching as the freddys ports are typical smaller than the engines intake ports. Also while the engine is out, best to do a head drain as you’ll regret not doing it later

you should get a vapor honer because of all the resto on used parts you do. Put that air compressor to good use!

With the freddy intake you should powder coat it white so that i makes with the wheels and you dont have the casted finish on it.

When you take out the rb20 get a rb25 head to put on it. You can get good power out of the rb20 bottom end

They make high temp cast iron colored paint. It looks fantastic.

Where is the water nipple for the upper radiator hose? And you should look in to the crank collar if you want it to last and be reliable.

Saw jimmy in a random reddit compilation last night with nissonda. Lol.

I ran a 450bhp fully forged RB25 (in an R33 GTR shell) and a few words of advice. 1. The rockers covers polish up really well and look super cool. 2. while you have the engine out of the car fit new exhaust studs, they are prone to snapping as standard, more so when you run more heat through the turbo. 3. wing and baffle the sump, if you are going to use the car hard you will thank me. 4. don't bother with a bigger TB that the RB25 Standard one, it is good for about 700bhp, running bigger makes for worse throttle control (I ran a QX54 - one of the biggest mistakes in my build) 5. Subaru injectors are a good upgrade for the standard Nissan items, used to be a really cheap upgrade back in the day. (standards are 370's IIRC so not enough for the new turbo) 6. port match the inlet ports on the head to the intake gasket - there is LOADS of material you can remove to improve flow. 7. standard HG is probably around its limit at 500bhp so you will be running close to the wire there. Have fun - I loved mine (I had 6 R33 GTSt all together)

Hybrids are common on the VW side. MQB makes 500+ easy with fuel and a redrilled housing with stronger internals.

While its still out of the car you should get a head drain kit for it so you dont have to do it later on

Should have got a plazmaman top half intake. Split the stock intake. Don’t starve cylinder 6 with a Freddy. And you keep low end torque with the stock bottom half of the intake manifold

I know you like saving money if you can I’m the same way, but you have to get the rb26 covers totally changed the look of the engine and most importantly the car!

Make sure you get rear turbo pipe tomei if possible extra 50 bhp

Those intakes aren't bad if you cut them open and port match the ports. Port the throttle body and smooth the inside. Tje weld it back together and clean it up.the really do work so much better
