Technological devices could be.... any device. Trebuchet, Crossbows, Spoon. You name it. Past, present, future. History is great for expertise.

So I had a gnome character long ago didnt get to play much, now hes more NPC, and as I learn the new I decided he built an autognome modeled off another infamous character. Im using the infiltrator armour build and think of it more as a tool at this point, it has no reason to go rogue, it is.

I know it is mainly for flavor but....especially in a world of artificers...shouldn't anyone be able to make what amounts to a set of matches or a lighter if they had enough intelligence??

I have a question: does that rock gnome feature implies that one cannot craft wiht tinker tools unless one is a gnome even if one is proficient with it?

Page 85 of Xanathar's guide to everything has rules for using tinkerer's tools in a more general sense.

Will you make a video about autognomes, now that those are out in Spelljammer? I'm starting into my first campaign as an autognome artificer who looks like a kind of mash-up of Robo from Chrono Trigger and Tik-tok from Return to Oz (but three feet tall).
