My wife is afraid of just about nothing, we encountered a bear pretty close maybe 8, 10 feet at smokey mountain national park last year...I was armed and she instantly got behind me, i drew my 10 mm but didnt fire as the bear maybe 275- 300 pounds walked away with no intent to harm us. My wife was shaking for hours. I know i'm not a random guy but she was scared shitless, I wont lie I was functionally scared. I should add I did 3 combat tours. I think if any of these spoiled women knowing what a angry bear can do, ever encountered a real bear of any size they would go hysterical blind. I would like to thank that bear for making me feel that "combat alive" sensation... its been a while.

I've watched a few versions of interviewing women on this topic. The first question I have is. "What idiot goes out in bear country without a gun and bear spray?" I won't waste time asking a woman who would rather have the bear this next one, "You do realize that a man out in known bear country is probably hunting bears and not women, don't you?" You can’t change the dynamic of a man based on race. Whether he’s black, white, Asian, Arab, Hispanic, doesn’t matter. They are all human and aggressiveness isn’t reliant on skin colour. They can all be great guys who wouldn’t hurt a fly, or they all have the potential to be a serial killer. The bears however are different species and vary wildly in aggression. You would 100% be a polar bear’s lunch however you can pick up and cradle a koala bear in your arms like a baby.

The issue with this question is that there is a lot of clutter that makes this a less revealing question than people think. A woman can NOT be feminist and still be very worried about meeting a random man in the woods because the question is "Why is he there?" A bear is supposed to be in the woods, so on a gut level it feels different. Obviously regardless a person should choose man over bear because bears are EXTREMELY dangerous and you are way more likely to be killed by a bear than by a creepy guy in the woods. Another piece of clutter that makes this question less revealing is that most people have been conditioned to think that animals are cuddly and safe, so a random person in the woods sounds more dangerous than a random bear (who we've been conditioned to think just likes to snuggle). A better question would be "If you rather be abducted by aliens and put on a planet with a random man who was also abducted, or with a random alien creature?" That takes away the "why is he here" factor, as well as the "bears just want to snuggle" factor and really boils it down to what you think about men in general.
