This LEGEND? It's a BONE STOCK 426 and THAT car didn't dominate any street racing scene let alone Detroit in the 70s. It's a 13 1/2 second car at best. If someone was dumb enough to believe the stories and bought that car for more than 50k they deserve getting scammed. Edit: I just read that some IDIOT paid over a million dollars for that car LOL What an IMBECILE!!

Nobody disputes it's a stellar factory car with the best option boxes checked. The enduring mystique of the street hemi was that, a few simple bolt on parts could really waken it up. This bone stock car never busted the 13s.

This car is literally one of a kind… all the boxes were checked off when making this order. It’s a 1970 RT SE with a gator grain top that officer Qualls actually said he didn’t like the gator grain vinyl and it was a mistake 😂😂. A 426 powered that beautiful beast. Story goes Officer Qualls told his son not to sell his car under any circumstances and he agreed upon that… wonder what changed?

He ordered it with the shaker hood and he got angry when it didn't come with one..so they gave him a hood and he put it in the garage with the car. Its a cool car too bad that the story behind its street racing heritage is fairly obviously fabricated....

This REALLY hurts to see. Unbelievable. Dad said "Don't give away my fucking car!" on his deathbed and the son in so many videos talking about how he's gonna keep it, how it honors his father, etc...and now it's up on the sellers block. Unreal. If it was really that big of a deal to hold on to, I guarantee that the Henry Ford museum or the World Automotive Museum in Dearborn would LOVE to had that car on display and probably would have even covered maintenance, etc on it. Again, what a dick move by the family

So Sad Cuz the original owner special ordered this car New and it turned out to be 1 of 1 due to it came with a vinyl top that he definitely didn't order but bought it anyway because he thought he'd NEVER be able to wait to get another special ordered car due to how long it took to get this car that wasn't💯% the way he Ordered/Wanted it! Hopefully they at least use the money to better the family instead of blowing it.

If you believe the street racing story, I've got a bridge I'll sell you. People without alot of car knowledge are very gullible. This car is bone stock. Fully optioned which never means a fast street racer. No one on Woodward Avenue would ever win a race with a bone stock car. These street hemis were very finicky and extremely heavy. I've read that the son has a production business, screenwriting or cinematography. You ve been played.

Even the real black ghost isn't real 😂 that's a completely stock hemi rated at mid 13 second quarter mile times on the track in perfect conditions. The street rods running around where and when he CLAIMS the car was raced were running in the 10 second range. 😂 That's the difference of about half the track in a 1/4 race

Easy for everyone to judge this guy cause you are not in the situation. The story will always be with the car as it sits in a museum which is a much better place for it than in Greg's garage. If he doesn't sell it then his son might or his son's son. But common sense says that it will go eventually. So why not now? This will be life-changing money for the family. I support your decision. The poor guy that bought this car for $1million has more money than brains. It's a cool story, but obviously complete bs. Nobody at any point in time wins tons of races with a bone stock unmodified car that faster cars, and equal cars were widely available. Especially in Detroit where the street racing muscle car scene was in its prime. Gtfoh 😂😂😂 people who were around at that time, and knew everybody in that scene say it's bs too.😂😂😂

@@tjmayer9103 the car itself contradicts the story...it's a BONE STOCK 4000lb exhaust manifold car that might run 14's going downtown...I'm from the Detroit area...I know the history of the street race screen here n the 60's n 70's n that car was NOT a legend...it's literally the samething as a Hellcat today. Any car of the area with a aftermarket exhaust and intake would make that car look like it's been tied to stump n the cars the ran the streets of Detroit back then we're 8-9 sec cars...the car is amazing by itself. Did you see the company that the sun owns? He's a film/story producer...the whole "Black Ghost" thing...is a LIE
