I watched Superman (1978) with my daughter yesterday. Now she is wondering if we can get this globe, place a minifigure of Superman next to the globe and recreate the final scene from the film 😅 Thanks for the review Balazs 👍

Honestly, I would have liked LEGO to pay more attention to detail with the surface and color decoration on the globe. A couple of tan, brown, grey, light and dark green 1x1 plates and tiles would have helped to add interesting physical features to the land masses. But that point plays into a similar criticism I had about the 31203 World Map with its plain white continents.

Just explaining why the globe crashed: As the globe is not really stiff you got a lot of imbalance. As you can see the globe starts to tangle around the center of gravity. Therefore at a maximum speed the globe hit the suspension where your hand is holding it. You can see how one of the parts is flying off. This causes the measuring system to fall off and the globe to collapse.

Okay, great video as usual. Including better than Bay/Emmerich-level world destruction, because you left out any dull family-stories. Why not going back to your work desk and build a gearbox to make the globe turn in real time? Or in scaled real-time? Wouldn't that be more educational?

The wheels : counterweight? Is there a difference between USA and European version, with one allowing the Europe to be exposed and the other allowing the America to be exposed at the front? Edit : 2 mins later in the video, counterweight mentioned... Well, I guess I should wait the end before commenting XD

Interesting test. Think you need to redo with the computer attached at the bottom and not resting on the set. Also, I really wished you would’ve added a Superman minifigure to the stand using some clear pieces to make it look like he is turning back the world a la 78’s og superman film!

Aren't the wheels meant to balance the globe? I believe the wheels are centered on the pacific ocean which have very few decorations, so weight would be added so the globe doesn't have a heavy side.

I think you rotate the globe in the wrong direction. If you are looking at it while it rotates, you should see Asia -> Europe/Africa -> North/South America -> big Pacific Ocean -> back to Asia. All your attempts were the other way around.
