That’s because the old guys play the short game. I played on a softball team a while back with a bunch of former baseball players including former pros and the old guys would always beat us by just poking little shots into the holes and down the lines.

@@caughtnotbought6601 Racquetball is a weird sport in that the better you get at it the less a workout it is. When you're new you can't aim your shots very well so you're running all around chasing the ball around the court whereas an experienced player will be like "nah I'll just hit it down to that corner there where you won't get to it in time"

When the rally ends, a point goes to the server if it was the receiver who failed to return. If the server failed the return, it is a side-out and the receiver becomes the server. Only the server can score a point.

The boxes that are closest to the wall are the doubles boxes. When playing doubles, you must stand in the box closest to the wall on either side. The box next to it is the screen line. If your racquet crosses the screen line on a drive serve, and you send the ball down the line (you conceal the shot) it's an illegal screen. There is a screen line on both sides, for left, and right handed servers. Try looking up "screen line racquetball" for a more in depth explanation.

@x7VoobKillers on a serve the ball has to bounce somewhere between the short line and the back wall. Durring a serve the ball must ht the front wall first and cannot bounce off of the ceiling or hit both walls (it may hit one). Durring a rally the ball must het the front wall. it can bounce off of any combination of walls before doing so, but cannot het the floor before hitting the front wall

It's faster paced, more of a workout. Racquetball is less hardcore and you can be in much worse shape but still enjoy the game, that's the good thing about Racquetball, you have so much more time to return a ball.

@icanwalk you can let it bounce once and hit it off the backwall as long as you dont let it hit the floor after it hits the back wall, sometimes theyre great shots to take sometimes you hardly have a chance to hit them, you can also hit a bal rebounding off the back wall against the back wall, angle it up so it makes it to the front wall, as long as it makes it to the front wall before hitting the ground your ok

After serving and hitting the front wall, does it matter if the ball hits the side wall ( front side wall) before it goes to the opponent ? Years ago I developed a fancy serve where the ball would hit the front wall , then sharply at about a 45°angle hit the front side wall , then lob high with an arc to drop in the back left corner. My opponent could rarely return the serve. He did some " research" and told me it was an illegal serve. I'm just curious. Thanks

Gary Hedger can’t hit the back wall is all. And can’t hit three walls.

The announcers have mentioned several times that he is the Number 1 Racquetball player in the world, and several of my Racquetball playing friends have confirmed that. However, when I look up the top 10 R-ball players, his name is conspicuously absent, not only from the number one spot, but from the entire list. Does anyone know why that is?

Regarding the serve, so I bounce it hit the front wall and so long as it crosses the second redline it's good even if it's the sidewall first?… I thought it had hit the floor first before heading sidewalls
@BRBallin17 жыл бұрын
No it just has to hit the front wall first and it can hit up to 2 more walls before bouncing on the floor and crossing the second red line. It cannot hit the back wall before bouncing only during the serve also.

Correction, on your service rules. On the serve the ball may contact one sidewall after it hits the front wall. The ball may contact the sidewall before the shortline, but it must still make its first contact to the floor passed the shortline. My first serve almost always plays off a sidewall, I only simplify it I faulted my first attempt.

How much did wearing goggles actually help?
@BRBallin18 жыл бұрын
***** I wear eye glasses at all times so I can never wear them properly. My friend who doesn't need glasses wears them but says it fogs up too much and takes them off after a while. I think they are worth wearing if you are playing doubles but not singles. Plus, they don't protect your nose, which I think are an easier target than eyes.
@canguyen15908 жыл бұрын
+BRBallin1 you don't wear eyespro based on how likely your eyes are going to get hurt. you wear them in the unlikely event they are going to get hurt. it suck, but having vents or perferated glasses help. i dread the day one of these ball hit me in the face too.

Also, what happens if opponent hits the ball to the front wall and it hits the back wall then bounces once and hits the front wall again? Does that give them the point/serve or can I hit the ball after it hits the front wall the 2nd time?

JESUS CHRIST IS COMING SOON! We are all sinners . We've all fallen short of His glory. The wages of sin is death (hell) and that's what we all deserve. God is just, and because of that, He must punish evil. Jesus came and took our punishment and died (but rose again 3 days later) for our sins. All we have to do is repent and trust in Jesus Christ and we will have eternal life in heaven . Time is ticking, but it hasn't ran out ❤️
