We connected to the John Muir Trail in Kings Canyon National Park and saw bears, lakes, horses, and views that will make your eyes melt. There are many hikes you should see in the adjacent Sequoia National Park as well. The Sierra Nevada range has it all.

I saw a young kid with his parents on the trail, so its definitely possible! You should take an extra day or two with kids so you don't hike as many miles per day as we did.

At the Upper Paradise bridge, there was a log crossing about 1000 feet downstream, we did it Sept '22, spectacular scenery.

I have watched Several Videos on the Rae Lake Loop and this is on my List to do hoping 2024. 2023 is the Grand Teton Loop for me

Great video and thanks for sharing! How far down the east lake trail was that campsite? I'll be doing the loop in mid September.

Thanks for watching! It's very close to that fork, not even 0.1 miles, right before the river crossing.

Nice video, but you are definitely not supposed to camp that close to the lake. Please rethink your campsites in the future.
