Seen him play on espn, 1993 or 94 bicycle club invitational. Martinez vs Varner. He played awesome. Strokin that ball like no ones business. Thats my first match watching him. After that I was hooked watching him stroke that cue, the sound it made was music. Beautiful!

Rafael Martinez plays with pace. For me, he is a joy to watch. I search out his videos on youtube. One of the great ones.

I have seen Rafael played at Hard Times in Bellflower CA in several matches. But in this tournament he was simply amazing!!!

That is an awsome display of pool mastery. I don't think I have ever seen anyone stay "in the zone" for such a length of time under such a stressful occasion e.i. a tournament. It makes me want to burn my stick as firewood. How can anyone beat a professional player when he is shooting his very best on every shot? No one can!! Bustmante looks young, when was this? 10, 15 years ago?

hi.i think this video was from me.i had this on vhs and give it to a friend.but he dont give it back to me.i think it was 1998 ( dsf tv ).after this match martinez come to my billard club in hannover germany(atlanta billard cafe).he plays one more time against bustamante for money.10.000 $ each race to 13.it was tied 1:1.he stays in hannover for some month.

I can say i had the opportunity to play and beat Rafael. Well kind of... I won the last game in last pocket after losing 3 games. Thing is Rafael had only side pockets for his last pocket. He's older but still stokes the cue the same.
