Bustamante's cue delivery is very unique. A lot of his shots it almost looks like he decelerates into but the outstanding form and follow through give him tremendous results. Inspirational pool in this match from both players!

I don't think I've seen him on a 10ft so I was just amazed he was over 900 after 19 racks of 10ball. I've watched him play in the world cup with efren and he shot a little better but not much. this is not average for him imo. especially when he's playing a youngster world champion like Ko Pin Yi.

@MrJdsenior 3 жыл бұрын
Agreed. At an amateur level I am just fine with using jump cues, but I think at a pro level it makes extricating yourself from a really effective safety (otherwise) too easy. Excellent safe kicking from a solid safety required a LOT of skill, jumping with a jump cue, not so much. Heck, even at amateur levels jumping with just a shaft is often disallowed, as that is considered too easy even for competent amateurs. I think I remember reading or hearing that the majority of pros agree with using playing cue only or disallowing jumping altogether, don't remember exactly which.

Don't compromise the quality of the sport by eliminating pushout; its a chess move and serves a strategic purpose. It can allow a player in stroke to manage some semblance of control over random bad luck of not making ball on break and shot on next object ball. Tennis is an example of a sport with a bunch of obscure rules regarding scoring and playing. And some matches can go 3, 4, and even 5 hours. What the game needs is more educated viewers and these videos do a good job of that. The fans will catch up with more exposure to quality play; Especially with today's billiard content on the internet. I think every sport has the dilemna of how to grow fan base and frequent player participation. Tennis has same issue. But the money in tennis is not in tourneys, although it pays well. The cheese is in endorsements. The image of the sport and image of the individual is rewarded. There may be more effective means of growth in audience than changing push out rule. Personally, although i love to watch someone break out a 5 or 6 pack, from a competition perspective, i like the alternate break, best of 3 sets, each set race to 7; player A starts first set break, Player B opens 2nd, and Player A breaks first on 3 (if 3rd set required). Sorry long post. Great vids keep em comin. And.... Efren can give god the orange crush on a 6x12
@ryancummings5295
@ryancummings5295 2 жыл бұрын
The push out dilemna arises around 1:05:03 and busti slow rolls it out into more or less a legal safe, where its not too hard to kick at the object ball. Ko could have allowed busti to take it but instead thought he could not just kick it but turn it into something and optioned to take it. Eventually he fires and ends up leaving busti an open shot to work with. My point i guess is the pushout is still a shot. It rewards the breaker some control of the layout. And the incoming player dealing with the pushed out shot, also has a similar struggle.

Ko brothers are pretty smooth operators. They're becoming my favorites. In fact little Ko is my top player. I'd stake him against anybody in the world. Hes a murderer. 5 n out on SVB. That's Elite of the Elite. Man it's tough for me to kick and hit a ball on a 9ft. I can only imagine how tough it is on a 10ft. On a barbox theres nowhere to hide from me. I can just about run out kicking balls in. And I'm playing well on a 9ft but my kicking game is definitely the kink in my 9ft table game.. at this time. I'm always improving but Ko is hitting em full in the face. Kickin like a horse. Kicks the 2 ball diagonally in the corner..on a 10fter lol. That was amazing. Well if Ko wants to run it back I'll stake twice the prize money on him. Those guys are monsters tho. Both of em. Fun match.

@@robertdoss238 I think Danny is hilarious. And the 'old man' had several careers, including pro pool and boxing. I always laugh when someone with Aaron's attitude and ignorance disses him for his knowledge. He should go find a video of Danny playing in his prime, like the Mosconi cup one on YT. He played DAMNED good there, top pro level, no question. And pool hasn't changed as dramatically as most people think (the common gripe, he doesn't know contemporary pool). The biggest change I see from 'back when' to now is equipment, and the incredible kick safeties from good safeties that the Fillipinos (Efren, mostly) brought to the scene. There are more 'experts' that have run 20 or less tables in their LIVES than you can shake a stick at, so to speak. :-) This when there are many pros that have done 8 - 10 or more IN A ROW during a tournament where real money is on the line, tens of thousands, and many many people are watching. These morons think that because they can hold a table in their local gin joint that they are something else. LOL Most any decent league player could do that, even the just above average ones, and that's without playing what most bar players call 'dirty pool'. Add in safeing and most bar players would be clueless, lost, and beaten with severe regularity. Those folks are exactly the ones that pick some faux pas some pro makes during a tournament (often of one or two, total) and say "I could make that shot" and claim they could beat these pros. What a bunch of idiots, I've often said pick one, put up your money, and play one...and please, let us all know in detail exactly what happened. I have a guy I've played a few times that came on missed final ball from winning the Australian Open snooker tournament decades back. I asked his how much difference there really was between very good amateurs, and pros, and his response was "a LOT". They are exactly the ridiculous fodder many top amateurs and pro roadies look for, to make VERY easy money. Corey used to walk in and say something like 'I'm REALLY good, who's your best player that likes action'? And then proceed to trounce them. There's an interview with him talking about him and Pag doing this, and it is hilarious.. like the story where he took three grand at one hall, let Pag drive his car, who managed to hit the guy's car he'd taken the money from, so he went back in, found out who owned the car (it was the guy he played) and ended up giving the whole 3k back to pay for the damages.

@MrJdsenior
@MrJdsenior 3 жыл бұрын
Umm, not really, most snakes will flee when anything large shows up, including a human who is trying to grab them, unless maybe they are defending offspring. I've done it and seen it many times. You should see them haul butt when my dog shows up, as she has a very high predatory instinct and loves to chase and grab most any reasonably sized animal that is not a dog, and she knows how to kill them VERY quickly. From what I've seen, even a highly venomous snake would have virtually no chance with her. Even if they did hit her, I expect they would die in the process. You can see humans handling and even playing with (avoiding strikes) from highly venomous snakes in many cultures, including cobras (the mongoose you mentioned). Snakes are fast strikers, but not as fast as most people make them out to be. On the other hand I was once pushing a boat through a very shallow part of a canal, and a cottonmouth was swimming toward me. I got out of the way REALLY fast...those are some nasty snakes, they WILL actually come after you, in the water anyway.
