When I was a child, whenever it rained my mum would wake my brother, sister and me up (my dad worked night),turn off all the lights and turn the sofa to face the windows. We would all sit there with hot chocolate and listen to the storm while waiting to see the lightning, we lived on a hill and could see for miles. We all grew up to absolutely love thunderstorms and do similar things with our children. I found out recently that my mum hated them and was terrified but by waking us up and pretending she loved them she found she could cope.

I'm so picky about what kind of rain I want to hear. This video has the nice little "plip ploop" thing goin' on and it's really like laying your head down at your window and hearing the drops hit that small puddle where the ground meets your house. XD The other videos have heavy rain or even thunder, but this is nice and light... I love it! :) Goodnight from: USA.

This one never fails to put me sleep. I'm in hospital and had a total knee replacement in surgery 10 hours ago. Not due for painkillers and as it's early hours in the night expected to sleep. So I use my trusted vid (this one) and I've just woken up 5 hours later. THANK YOU FOR YOUR AMAZING VID xx

Hands down the best rain quality I've heard in ANY video. I hope this is a still running video. Because honestly, anytime I don't have a fan this puts me to sleep just as quick. The dark background makes it interesting to drift to sleep to with random thoughts. Anyways. Thank you so much for this gift of a video! Been using it for 4 years.

Very hard to sleep without this. It helped me relax after a very difficult surgery. The pain was insane. So to keep my mind off it, I listened to this rain video.

because of the pitch/ tone perhaps.? I cabt tolerate high pitch rain, on tents or on cars is good, also medium strength downpour, furious rain hurts my head. now, this is tolerable, big drops, varied rhythm. sounds stupid, but its a reality. I like car sounds in the mix, texashighdef drives around in a quietish car, coast I guess, I love that one.
