I've been wanting to make some char cloth for awhile now and finally got a chance to get it done. It was a bit of a rainy, windy day but I was able to put up the tarp shelter in time before it started coming down. haha, no, no wine today. It was a day for hot chocolate so that was first on my task list. I love my little folding wood stove for days when it is too windy for a campfire.
While I was finishing my meal of Ukrainian sausage, onions and mushrooms, I started on the char cloth. I had found a little round tin from the dollar store of all places and I bought some 100% cotton jeans material from the fabric store. Cut those up into little squares and scattered them in the tin. I punctured a small hole for the gases to escape and after about 20 to 25 minutes, it was done and worked out very well! I can't wait to try it...next video I'm sure!!
It was sad to see the geese flying south overhead, but I don't mind the coming of winter at all. It just means new outdoor adventures!
Thanks for watching!!
