Thanks for posting this! I haven't been back home in quite a while. Chuck's China Inn, St. Anthony's, St. Joseph's...Ma's Donuts brings back a lot of good memories. We used to go to Pa Raffas for supper and then Frates for Ice Cream...nothing like it.

Felt the same way a few years ago, live in Florida for 15 years. Came back home for my wife to take care of her parents, who have now passed on. And the feeling of wanting to get out from this dump is all I think about again.

I grew up in the north end. A lot has changed on acushnet ave. since the 80s but a lot has also stayed the same. miss smelling that fresh sunbeam bread. used to live behind bay state tv. now it's a fried chicken place. today i live in lowell. went from little portugal to little cambodia

Needs some kind of verbal narrative to go along with it so we will know what we are looking at and be able to place ourselves As to where we remember Some of us have not been there for many many years and could recognize places if we had a small verbal clue

After I moved out of NB and then come home, I always freak out about the narrow streets. My father used to bomb through there with his huge Delta 88. I don't know how he did it.
