I have been all over youtube looking for good conversations on this show, and this is literally the best one I have found. Thanks guys this was extremely entertaining.

My theory bout what the Entity wants is that it wants to evolve humans into a better more superior species. A species that is hybrid tech/organic. To me, that doesn't necessarily mean the next evolution had to be in a human form. Hence we got the snakes. I believe Grandmother and the entity both had the goal of ensuring the everlasting life of humans. They r each just approaching it in a different way. The Entity thought evolution was the best way to preserve humanity and grandmother thought devolving the humans was the best way.

First of all, this vid is such a great discussion to listen to about this show. You two mentioned the question about who/how/what put the Entity in the core and then later mentioned the 5 Pentagonal temples on the planet. We know that the blown out temple in the tropical zone has an apparatus that would allow someone to be lowered all the way down to the core. I'm going to assume that the inside of all 5 temples are the same. Maybe the giant holes in these temples were man made and is also how the humans of Kepplar originally created a Trust like Entity in the core. Another thought I had on the same subject was that possibly a Shepard Necromancer, perhaps "grandfather" flew down one of the temple holes in gold mode and infused with the Core and becoming the Entity.

I think one of the biggest misunderstandings and misdirections is thinking the "Technocrats" aren't the Mithraic, and the "Believers" aren't the Atheists. We've seen through Mother that Atheists will develop beliefs, as she even has rituals that she performs with her little effigies and alter. In season one, she tells the kids that Sol was not real, but then goes directly into a lesson on how five is the mathematical root of all life. Cleaver places all his beliefs into the Trust (pun intended). We're constantly made to draw lines in the sand, like humans always have, but I think what this narrative is trying to say is that humans find comfort in dichotomies, but the reality is, they are two halves of the same whole. Thus the snake eating its tail. The religious dogma and symbolism is just a vehicle to say something about how human use our constructs to understand and transcend suffering, pain and death. Lastly, I think the Entity & Botanitech, like Dark Photon Energy, are natural byproducts of the universe that the humans harnessed and copied it, which is the bigger mystery of the show. P.S. It's hinted that they chose Kepler-22b simply because it was in the scriptures. And, I totally think the "embryos" are seeds to evolve the ancestors of humans on Earth.

Odin is hung from the world tree while his blood slowly drained from his body for 9 days and 9 nights and in doing this he gained the knowledge of the runes (mysteries) and is what gave him his status as the “All-Father” SO either Marcus is either gonna be a real prophet figure with higher knowledge or he will be the human incarnate of SOL (Sol gave instructions to Lucius to put the ancient mithraic helmet on Marcus maybe as some sort of intitiation ceremony) it would also make the huge sinkholes make sense if you tie them to the world snake (Jormungandr) If I didn’t watch Vikings I would not be pushing this theory so hard but come on…. If we created in AI and it's somehow evolved without us knowing or even with us knowing and when we left and came back it appeared as a God to us creating a whole other Dynamic of what might be going on in some people's perspectives but the reality could very well be that we created our own God

I wonder if the writer/creator of the series was inspired in part by Roger Zelazny’s book, The Lord of Light? Some religious observations and/or potential answers: - Shepherds protect lambs from the wolves, but lead the lamb to the slaughter - St. Peter was crucified upside down, not Paul. I’m shocked that you guys hadn’t realized this but maybe I’m missing something. Around 45:30 you mention not having any idea what eating the fruit will do to the humans who ate it. And that the fruit and tree was meant only for the serpent? The show has been pretty clear that humans will “remain pure” by eating from the tree. It doesn’t take rocket science to equate that the fruit inhibits devolution, the devolution of which would put the entity back to sleep.

Is "Grandmother" in her original form, or did she take that form to imitate Father's appearance when she was reconstructing herself, or afterwards? If Necromancers can chance their form or appearance like Lamia can, she could too. Maybe her real form is more like the android creature the card shows trapped in the hexagonal birthing cage giving birth to a serpent through the mouth (like Lamia later did)? Maybe that WAS grandmother, or an android like her? In her early phase of reconstruction it did not look like a humanoid face forming. Also what will the dark matter processor from number 7 that Lamia removed be transplanted into?

Here’s the thing with the serpent. It was flying and Campion was running. It’s very difficult to portray a chase scene like that on tv without making it look ridiculous. Also, Campion has plot armor so the serpent can’t actually harm him. I think it just came off like the serpent wasn’t serious about harming Campion on tv, but he was killing all the trees around Campion implying he was trying to do him harm.

About the cave painting. What if that was Grandmother and Father? Grandmother seemed to know Father from before her reactivation.

I kind of hope it isn't going to be some sort of time loop thing where Mother and Father go back in time somehow. I hope they destroy the entity and Grandmother, or perhaps have to destroy Kepler-22b and return to Earth, and enough time has passed for the planet to sort of heal enough to support life once again, and Campion is the leader, or perhaps has to sacrifice himself to destroy the entity (maybe some variation of him *as* the entity). Regardless, I strongly prefer no time loop thing. I always prefer an end to a time loop, because it means a more open set of possibilities, whereas with a time loop, you know exactly how it's going to go, and its more like a prison the characters are stuck in without realizing it.

Hey loved this podcast I came back and listened twice cuz honestly this podcast is saying ALL the things I’m thinking is happening I think campion has some sort of powers from his north and I think this is due to mothers tear that falls onto him, we’ve only seen her cry maybe 3 times max and maybe her tears have some sort of healing power, ALSO I have a feeling as pointed out in another podcast that there seem to be some Norse mythology references (hanging from the world tree, and Jormungandr the world serpent) and from my knowledge, number 7’s tragic story closely resembles Fenrir the wolf who was prophecized to bring chaos and destruction and was locked up out of fear and was also the son of LOKI (trickster spirit) so maybe whoever is controlling number 7 is a trickster entity like Loki only causing chaos while its opposing force in mythology is Odin, who hung from the world tree to get his “powers” (MARCUS!!!!)

From S1, first episodes, who made those drawings in that 'dome shelter', because to me they were forshadowing everything: mother with kid(maybe Campion) and a flying serpent, tree...? I thought it was Mother, but i could not get to the exact scene or reference.

I thought Father said Grandmother’s bones were almost a million years old too, but upon rewatching he said “millennia”, so only a thousand years.

This season 2 needed 2 more episodes to complete their thoughts. It just felt very anticlimactic, needed more time with the serpent, it was destroyed too soon.

This show isn’t lost it’s much better I gave up on lost earlier than anyone I saw the story as unfinished and not organized Raised by Wolves maybe the best sci-fi tv show next to a West-world

My ultimate wish is for Ridley to bridge this world with the Engineers storyline use this series to complete what Prometheus started It's already understood it's the same universe as Aliens its just we don't know where in that time frame it's at.

Do you have any videos/podcasts where you get more into Tempest's baby and her importance to Sol/Entity? Halfway through this video I started thinking about this and feel like the part of this show has not been addressed in detail. Here are my questions/thoughts: 1. How did Otho manage to wake up during hyper-sleep (or whatever it is called in this show)? I believe he was the only one that was able to do that on the ship 2. How did Sol/The Entity communicate with Otho on the ship (I believe Sol/The Entity was able to connect to the pods on the ship like how it communicated with Mother when she plugged into one of the pods on Kepler 22-b) 3. Why was the birth of the baby so significant? Hunter/Mirthraic was/is very invested in the baby and Mother/Android/Atheist was also very invested in the birth of the baby. Opposing sides agreeing on the importance of something but why? How does the baby serve either side? 4. Tempest was burned by the acid when the creature grabbed her but the baby was not. Has it been discussed why this is? I know the baby has mutations (the webbed fingers, acid immunity, not sure what else) but how would the baby possess specific mutations that would allow survival on Kepler 22-b (maybe I am not fully understanding genetic mutations/evolution). Maybe Otho had the specific mutations and that is why Sol chose him to be the one to wake and impregnate (r*pe) Tempest. I am totally confusing myself with my own theories Lol. This is why I am hoping someone can help with me out because I am sure I missed some things. I feel like I had another question/thought but I cannot think of it now, maybe someone else has some other thoughts to add. But I just binged both seasons in the last couple of weeks and I am very intrigued by this weird (in a good way) show. I hope they do not disappoint and we continue the full amount of seasons the creator(s) of the show intended so we can have most of the mysteries solved and questions answered. And this trip it might happen again at the end of the series, and the circle is complete. It fits with ouroborus , and the humanity needs to reborn. Mother breaks again, destroyed, remainings on Kepler... I really believe the entity is the " protagonist" for this show, well grow to find out GM is the manipulative entity and tho the humans need to sacrifice themselves it is much like the sacrifice we see in ancient civilizations on earth. I vote for this 'Sol is trying to evolve humans' theory. I think too it is running some dark photon bio-engeneering receipes on humans, maybe for building the perfect recipient to gain some physical form. Its intentions and actions are not very straight forward. and I agree, sometimes contradictory. Maybe there are 5, or five manifestations of it. If Sol wants Campion killed, or anyone else, it can deceive anyone in doing so, I believe. Anyway, nice talk about a great show. As any other good movie, it makes you see things in different perpective and question yourself. I hope it gets through season 5. and keep it with the script and creator's plan, and not make it 'easier to follow' to gain some more viewers.
