Ok, I would have stopped playing and asked the person coughing to leave. Beautiful performance and graceful focus.

I wish Rameau was alive just long enough to hear this performance. The depth of his music is best revealed on the piano.

Great performance, amazing work and finally a pianist that knows that this is not piano music and so it needs a different approach. The piano is closer to us than the cembalo and thus it's great when we can enjoy music from the cembalo period properly living within the new instrument

"Rameau y Varvara", magnífico dúo. Ella, como siempre, original y, a la vez, fiel al espíritu del autor y de la época. Su excelente juego de dinámicas me ha hecho escuchar un clavecín. Felicidades y muchas gracias. Por otro lado, lamento el estado de salud de parte del público. Respeto, por favor.

VARVARA est incontestablement l'une des grandes pianistes de sa génération. Je l'ai vu enchaîner RACH 2 &4 dans le même concert. Quelle sobriété dans la gestuelle mais quelle profondeur dans la musicalité. Sans parler de technique (formée au Gnessen puis au Conservatoire Tchaikovski)

The video is beautiful and the pianist is amazing. Unfortunately I could not watch it for long time because someone in the audience had a chronic cough..😩

No conocía a Rameau! Sólo con escuchar este video: a veces me da la sensación que es como Bach (con muchos trinos) y a veces una versión temprana de Beethoven... Como el eslabón perdido. Muchas gracias!

En todo caso sería al revés. Rameau fue anterior a Beethoven y un compositor y teórico de gran fama en el barroco francés. En cuanto a Bach, es una lástima que siempre se oiga a todos los compositores del barroco como versiones de Bach, cuando en realidad fue Bach el que se inspiró en la música de su tiempo, imitando a los grandes de su época. Esa es la mayor virtud de Bach, que recopiló muchos estilos y los desarrolló como propios

@@martinzamoranomusic ..A mí me gusta aprender sobre los compositores en un contexto histórico y saber quién influenció a quién. Yo descubrí Rameau por accidente y me encanta. Tiene una energía maravillosa. A lo mejor tuvo fama en Europa pero en América, desafortunadamente nunca lo mencionan. Gracias, Martín!
