in this video I go through a new data sheet the Rampagers and reveal some new tactics and combinations you can do with them. I also talk about a controversial rule and how it shouldn't be allowed but RAW you can use it. (WTC have faq'd in favour of not letting it be used)

T6 and 15 wounds, split between 3 models, for 110 pts, is pretty awesome, even as a distraction piece. And the Rampagers have enough damage potential that they cant just be ignored either.

One addition to the Strike Team. You can put one Strike team on your homeobjective and do the "suppression volley" with their support turret indirect fire. In this case you don't need line of sight or trigger any backfire. Edit: in addition you can trigger for 2CP the Puse onslaught Montka strat with these to give them -1 hit and -2 move + advance + charge

I ran stealth suits last time and totally forgot about the free ingress, used to the idea of only using it for crisis suits. I'm not sold on the strike team though, ran them with an ethereal to farm CP home, one minor debuff doesn't justify their existence. I'll do breachers+ethereal next time

I'm specifically talking about them in the kroot detachment though as I can see it having a great impact here but not so much elsewhere.

Kroot Lone Spears will be available in Australia starting 25 May but in the UK you've already painted and taken yours to a tournament!

I recently came back to WH40k from 15yo hiatus - just to play Kroots back. Really happy to see them perform best. Currently assembling 60 kroots, rampagers and characters and thinking what would be best purchase for Tau-side. Would Hammerheads be best in your opinion?

Kyle what do you think about this combo. In Montka using strategic conqueror make the opponents home objective +1 OC then charge 2 or 3 units of kroot hounds onto it turn 1 but have them within 12" of a shaper for an additional +1 OC.

For a start I dropped the breacher devilfish and one flesh shaper and got a 6 man rampager unit in. The rest of my top level kroot lists are behind my lowest paywall. If you're interested in finding out more check out the program man 👊🏻

Do you think there's a place for building solid shooting damage with just kroot? A Trap Well Laid is a battle tactic that targets a kroot unit so can be doubled up with a war Shaper with the rules commentary on stacking unnamed buffs. Is 12 S7 -3 2 krootox shots or S10 -4 2 blast javelins worth it?

Interesting. But i like it better paired with Kroot EMP on vehicles for BS-1 and -1 on dice. Making majority of vehicles hit on 6s for just mean!

When you have the first turn, do you redeploy your farstalkers since the opponent has the option of overwatch? And coherency is checked at the end of turn? Or leave you your farstalkers in Conga Line and hope that your oppenent doesn't overwatch

Do you see any play with Shadowsun as a CP generator or is she good in theory and not so much once the dice start rolling? I feel like I could keep her close enough to a Kroot block to get three chances at gaining a CP per battle round (Hidden Hunters, A Trap Well Laid, Free War Shaper A Trap Well Laid). She would also fulfill a spotter role, add extra anti-vehicle potential, and give the Lone Spear reroll 1s with the initial javelin hurl. Too greedy to expect to work? Two Ethereals in reserve seems reliable but... a little boring?
