Great vid.👍 I usually have 2 types of reloads for AR's #1 for accuracy, basically the same way your going #2 for stockpile rounds, but bump back to SAMI specs, so it will shoot in any rifle/any chamber . Having fun yet?😁 By the way, I bought the MEC press. Now that I got my hands on it, I can see just how awesome it is 👍👍😜😜

I think that's the way to go, Idaho. Hey, that rhymed! 😁 I've got some cheapo bullets I'll load in bulk for the AR for having fun. Nice job on the MEC! I know Kenny really likes that press and does some really impressive things with it. Let me know how it works out 👍

Very thorough explanation.... I see many folks getting into reloading and searching for more and more knowledge on what/why reloaded do things a certain way. Good stuff for sure....I’ll definitely be sending folks your way for some reloading knowledge!

First off, excellent video and great shooting. Looks like you are getting some where with that rifle. I would not discount the group at 24.0 grains, When I was watching the video I thought that it was pulled a little bit, especially the way the ofter 4 grouped. Next, depending on the distance you are planning on shooting, the SD's might not matter. Looking forward to seeing the 75s. Keep up the good work.

I'm definitely gonna revisit that charge. The four shot group was great, so I'm thinking it was me. I was surprised at the numbers. I've always thought a crappy SD would mean a crappy group but I learned something new on that. Thanks for watching and for your help you've given me so far, man. I appreciate it.

Great video love those groups 👍👍 I had the same issues with brass also I believe we got it from the same person I use cast Bullet with it and stretch them out slowly then once close enough I use jacketed bullet to do the final stretch

Yes Kyle knows him so that what Kyle told me to do because the brass comes from high end tight chamber rifles that’s why they are a little short

Thanks Willie! I figured I'd give this one a try, I saw awesome reviews for this powder on Midway. I think it's a fast powder though, so only 62gr bullets and lighter. I revisited the load of 23.6gr that gave me that 0.550" group and today I shot 0.410" with it. I found my pet load!!!

That's with a bolt gun correct not semi-auto what is your barrel profile medium, heavy, pencil just wondering if barrel heat causing some flyers ?? Time between shots? Great video!! I need to make some more videos !!
@TinManReloading
@TinManReloading 5 жыл бұрын
Yessir, TC Compass. It has a pencil barrel. I had to wait about 15 minutes between every 3 shots. I have to keep feeling the barrel to keep the heat down. I'm sure a lot of it was me, I'm not that great of a shooter. Let's see some vids soon bud 👍

Good work, Brother! I got to try X-Terminator! My AR has a 1:8 twist barrel. I want to shoot heavy bullets, but not sure how heavy the barrel will stabilize. I have some TAC rounds I loaded 6 months ago I need to test. We’ll try them and see what I get. Good video Tinman!

Are either of those powders temperature sensitive?? You guys talking about that just last night about it if memory serves me correctly . Rifle I only load for 308 and 338 Lapua so I only use INsensitive to temperature powders Hogdon and IMR
@TinManReloading
@TinManReloading 5 жыл бұрын
Jamie, a 1:8 is pretty quick. You should be able to stabilize some 73 or 77 grainers. My 1:9 twist stabilizes the long 75gr ELD bullets from Hornady surprisingly. But, it's a 22 inch barrel. You're the reason I wanted to try some TAC! I remember you saying how much you liked it. I was able to find 2 pounds in Iowa City yesterday. I hope to see you shooting them soon brother 👍🇺🇸 Thanks brother!

Chris 338 Hodgdon has a line of Extreme extruded powders that’s not temperature sensitive. Lever guns 50-110 was right, though. Temperatures can have a big impact on your impact.😂🤠

Great info Tinman. Now I’ve got a question…you mention neck sizing the brass for a specific rifle for improved accuracy. Should I not worry about this step and stick to the full length resizing die for rounds that will be shot in different ARs since they will all have different dimensions?
