I am a 19 year old female with autism, adhd, and an anxiety disorder. I clean up glass at local playgrounds around my home and around town areas in Virginia. I have used it to make shattered art.

Amazing! I lost a lot of good friends trying to do the same. I still pour out a little Mountain Dew for the lost loved ones during the Domino's Debacle of 2006. You're a brave man, and doing the good work, sir. I tip my hat to you!

it costs nothing, absolutely NOTHING to do some good. I am an 18-year-old female college student, I am on the autism spectrum, and I have Asperger's, ADHD, and really bad social and emotional anxiety. I go out every weekend to several playgrounds, beaches, and parks around Norfolk and Richmond Virginia cleaning up not only garbage but also collecting all of the broken/shattered glass, take it home, clean it, and make art works out of it to sell for money. I help stray and injured animals get better and find shelter and I bring missing pets back to their owners. I am also planning on creating a place for people with peculiarities, homeless, and unwanted have a home and be happy until they can get back up on their feet.

9:05 those aren't just random ppl, thats ocean conservation Namibia OCN, they have a KZfaq channel and they go post a video every day of them saving all kinds of wildlife, mostly seals from fishing line, nets, random crap that gets tangled up on them! Its a good channel, should check it out and sub if u haven't already

I discovered and subbed to OCN at the beginning of the UK lockdown. It's been so satisfying to watch the guys get the entanglements off the seals. Makes you think how much crap humans throw into rivers and oceans, without thinking about the harm that it's doing to marine life. I even did a bit of a clean up on the beach a few days ago, just picking up a few bits of old plastic bags and wrappers, one of which made it's way from Spain!

Last August my mother would’ve turned 50, and to honor her on her birthday I wanted to go to a local restaurant and leave a big tip. I put it on Facebook thinking her old friends would give maybe $200. I ended up getting $1,100 from my family and friends. It really surprised me and it helped make a difference in someone’s life in her honor

Negative news and video clips on the Internet often get more attention and publicity than positive news. It makes the world look like a terrible place but there's is a lot of good stuff going on that we never hear about. Stay positive.

I've been watching OCN Namibia since lockdown in the UK last March. They do a great job at freeing seals from ropes/lines from fishing trawlers, and packaging straps/every-day plastics. So satisfying to see the tension released on the seal necks. I put my own contribution in the other day at the beach, cleaning up some plastic and wrappers

I have alopecia, started as patches and progressed to losing all my hair, but it was slow and I had to shave my hair off just like this. It was gut wrenching, you lose your physical identity and it was mentally very tough to deal with - so I can feel her emotion there, that was a kind thing to do. If there's anyone reading this who's suffering with alopecia (or knows someone that is) and wants to chat let me know. Otherwise I recommend the Alopecia UK charity as points of contact, they run great support groups (really helped me when I needed it).

Quite a few years ago I broke up a cat fight and ended up with a small scratch in between 2 fingers. It ended up infected and my whole hand was swollen. Luckily antibiotics and time helped, but I still have the scar. If you're thinking "people should know better than to break up a cat fight", I KNOW! I've been brought up learning to keep my hands out of all sorts of messes (grew up in New Mexico with a brother who brought home everything he found), but it was my first instinct and before I knew it, hand was in there! 🤣

Years ago my cousin had a bad car accident on the interstate and my cousin somehow was underneath the truck. A couple friends that was with him and some people stopped and lifted up this truck off my cousin long enough for my cousin to get out from underneath it. It's crazy how are your adrenaline can start pumping so much and Hysterical Strength kicks in.

It is an utterly miniscule amount of people that are dicks. The rest, no matter where they live in the world, will do what they can to help others. Kindness by humans is not restricted to any country, political system, gender or race. People are inherently good the world over.

Remember when you reacted to Bo Burnham's Sad and pretty much hated it? He just dropped a song from his new netflix special on youtube called "welcome to the internet". It is not the funniest song ever made but I believe it would be very interesting to react to as it is a very good song and I believe you would like it. I'm suspicious of videos of kids doing good deeds while being filmed by adults. They feel staged. The good deed the kid does is great, sure. But, the underlying intent seems like it's to receive brownie points from the internet.

I've said it before and I'll say it again. GoFundMe is up there as one of the greatest things ever made by humanity. Ever. Lives have been saved, and terrible situations have been prevented by that site, and all out of the kindness of other people's hearts. The closest thing we had before that was charities, but imo they were never as effective as GFM has been. It's shed light on the beautiful side to humanity. And it's given people in awful situations a second chance. Whereas without GFM, they would've suffered the hardships of their circumstances. God bless the human race. We've got some right dickheads, but imo, they're outnumbered 10:1

I love these kind of videos, I always tear up, but I gotta say, even though the message is good, vids like the kid moving the brick seem set up to me, I mean, there was someone already recording the kid walking down the street and pulling the brick and garbage out, feels like the parents told him to do that to get it on video tbh
