If you're really tight on budget, don't forget about Logitech G27 too because it's pretty much G29 with optical sensors instead, and also doesn't have that rubber stop people seem to hate on the brakes, also includes shifters that are better than the ones you have to separately pay for on the G29. I'd say what you're paying extra for on G29 is the modern console support and the fact that you can get it brand new.

I have heavy experience with all these wheels and would like to preface my current setup before I compare the Driving Force GT, G29, and V10. I personally use a g920 with a 6amp PSU, stiffened shifter, inverted clutch and inverted/adjusted brake pedal, 15" fake OMP wheel with 1" QR, extended ARD paddle shifters, a real hydro brake that was diy fitted with a hall sensor and a board to transfer the data via micro usb, and it's all wrapped up in a VEVOR RS6 cockpit, which is a $200 clone of a next level racing rig, with a next level racing monitor stand that fit right on the cockpit's mounts since it's a 1:1 clone. I used a driving force gt (DFGT) up until last year sometime. I also had the madcatz wheel way back (inferior to dfgt), and recently got to try the PXN V10 (superior to dfgt). This PXN wheel feels nothing like I remember the MadCatz feeling. It isn't a "breakthrough" or anything it's still subpar when compared to a g29, but a solid SOLID option that feels infinitely smoother than the terribly gritty dfgt. I traded my Driving Force GT to a friend who recently got the PXN V10 as a replacement. The shifter and pedals are completely different from what my madcatz wheel had, both feel good and it's super easy to buy stiffer springs in literally any shape/rate you would want and maybe 10-20 bucks to change all 3. I'm almost certain the internals have changed from the madcatz wheel. The feedback is plenty powerful to give you some immersion. Similar feedback to the driving force with slightly less powerful peaks (barely noticeable unless they're side by side like they were for me.) I'd also like to remind everybody the g29, g27, etc. are also very similar to the DFGT force feedback, just slightly more powerful all around and not nearly as loud, but still similar noise to the PXN V10. I personally tell everyone to go used on sim equipment if you have a low price point in mind, but if you "NEED" to buy new and want everything included, the PXN V10 is the way to go. It's a whole price point lower than the G923 once you factor in having a shifter, offers adequate feedback, and most likely modders are gonna hop on making wheel adapters and other mods just like the other budget wheels receive. I think it's a great option that's currently being produced, has full force feedback, and is considerably cheaper than it's competitors while adding extra functionality (shifter included.)

According to that picture of the inside of the PXN base, that is not a belt driven system but a gear driven like the Logitech

so that you understand in my country, the logitech g29 steering wheel costs $ 374 and the pxn costs $ 124, so there's definitely a choice for the pxn

Im now with Fanatec csl DD but before i was driving on G27 for almost 7 years, undestroyable, rocking hard after years, i still believe logitech as entry level sim wheel is still top. Maybe it was little bit louder because of gears but for that money?

honestly i have a pxn v10 not which is my first wheel but i love it looking to upgrade just because i know there are better out there but i love this wheel right now an the fact you can edit ffb real time in the app

Nah avoid PXN at all cost. The ffb is okay but everything about it are so flimsy and easy to break. My company bought 2 of them and both broke in less than 3 months (pedal and calibration problem). Furthermore I can't even claim their so called 1 year warranty. PXN completely ghosted me after giving everything they asked for (proof of purchase, video, etc). I'm up for giving new company a chance but take it from me, big NO for PXN.

I'd love to find a chip circumvention device for my PS3 that'll let me use my Fanatec wheel and pedals to play GT 5/6.

Peddles can be tightened I believe by simply turned a bolt or screw on the side of them

is it worth it to buy for 210 usd bnew?. g920 cost about 300 usd new without shifter, i can't see alot of g920 near my place hence can't buy 2nd hand, i intend to use it on my xbox one s and laptop

Alittle bit biased, considering I have a collection of sim wheels. The pxn feels nowhere as close as the madcatz, in fact its much better and stronger in feel. With the right settings, the pxn ffb feels on point with the g29, but much grinder. The pxn pedals also uses hall sensors, which is a one step up towards the logitech's pedals. The springs are easily replaceable too. Anyways, very informative video.

i had the g29 but i sold it because of the need of money plus it had too much death zone on the pedal now i got xbox series s and ps5 i have a flight simulator of pxn that’s why i’m interested on the wheel

I own a PXN V10 and it is a very good wheel. This is pretty biased review because he was for instance, calling the buttons on back "trash". It isn't They are responsive and very clicky. The clutch one isn't, but it is a clutch. Price for the V10 was $279...LogiTech cannot TOUCH that price with a shifter. If it is a money "I want a shifter and shouldn't have to pay more to get it" person like I am, go with the V10. You won't be sorry.

for £300 gbp just get a thrustmaster tx leather. It may not come with a shifter but if your not wanting to fork out for the amazing th8a like i did. You can buy the Logitech shifter and a usb adapter. Will give you much better force feedback than the gear driven logitech.

I think you all are taking the wrong impression from this it’s a great start and way cheaper and function way better then Logitech and you can customize way more and make it your own

I think the Logitech is easily the go to wheel for most people, not necessarily for buying it brand new, but buying them secondhand. Not sure about us or UK or other regions but in Australia a full g29/920 kit can be had for less than to about half the price of just the wheel, so you get the same product for a fraction of the price, and what you can do is either put that money towards whatever else, or take the extra savings from if you bought it brand new, and purchase mods for the wheel, stuff like shifter mods, magnetic paddle mods, variety of pedal mods, you could easily kit it out to basically be a really good wheel aside from pros of other wheels like interchangeable wheels or a different drive like belt or even DD

If it's a dual motor belt drive then why is the pxn v10 notchy when having the inertia setting at anything more than 10% belt driven are meant to be smoother.

I have a 3D Printer and got the G29 a week ago. Already made a new shifter knob, and made the tactile H Pattern shifter mod. It has an inner ring to attach elastic bands to, so that tightens up the neutral position ny at least x2! The tactile H pattern gives a more resistant and locked in feel as each gear goes in. I also pulled my shifter apart to put a headbolt into the selector spring but in my shifter, the spring is alread protruding out a lot, and its very tight, so much so, that even with the bands in place and no H Pattern shifter, it will hold gear quite well. But for anyone with a G27 shifter or pre 2022 shifter for G29, just use a head bolt or 3d print a bit of plastic to sit under the spring. And it will tighten up the selector by pre loading the spring with extra force. Combine that spring mod, with the H Pattern mod and inner ring with elastic bands, add a better shiter knob (not too heavy), and you really improve that shifter by twice as much. Only mod needed really with a G29 setup. You can always add 4nm motors and mod the break pedal or add pedal extensions, or new pedal plates. The G29 can even be modded to take a wheel adapter, however you can lose access to buttons, depending on the wheel. But the G29 (G923 or G920) are great from the modding stand point, especially if you already own a 3D printer. Imo it's the perfect wheel to dabble in Sim racing. From there you'll know if you'll use it much and whether or not you jeed more expensive setups later. In which case the 2nd hand buyers market is always looking for cheap logitech setups

For beginners who don't know what to expect and want to just get their feet wet, the G29 is a no brainer when it was on sale for $299 CAD this holiday season. Otherwise if you care about driving and want something to grow into then it's worth spending more on a T300RS GT.

If you're thinking about buying a g29 you're much better off with a T300RS, far better wheel in every way for the same price as a 29/923. I have every Logitech Wheel since the g25 which had the best shifter in the series, the wheels are okay for the price point, but the T300RS GT is just a better buy any day. Better Force Feedback, you can actually detach the rim.

im happy with the v10. I picked it up for $250 on amazon so its hard to beat that price

PXN V10 is based on a Mad Catz product? They had me lost at Mad Catz. Plus the PXN is a few bucks more than the Logitech (without shifter)? So nah, yeah, nah on the PXN.

I have a g29 and I've been trying to learn how to drift in assetto. It's just impossible. Not to mention the break is so hard to work with in normal racing. Tried a thrustmaster. Although it's a little bit more expensive I really regret getting the g29. Didn't need to practice to get the drifts down with thrustmaster and I still cannot drift when I plug in the g29. Idk if my g29 is extra shit, but my experience has been 0/10

pxn is compatible with ps5 with ps4 control, apart from that surely you are missing updates and that you did not give your location to the pxn application that was to join the wheel fix all that and that's it

PXN is a Chinese company that never made racing wheel before V10. All the wheel they'd made before were toy wheels, no force feedback and act like gamepad. They have no idea how to make it by themselves, so they hire outsource company to made V10 for them and just put their brand PXN on it. This kind of insult to compare V10 to G29. You should get second hand G27 or T150 than wasting money on V10.
