I am still enjoying the performance of my old 780ti, the frame rate wasn't a problem at all I can still most of the game on high or ultra (probably not on 60 fps but never feel that any game was sluggish at all) Decided to upgrade to 1070ti in the end though, the 3 GB Vram just wasn't enough in this day and age

Nice to see the good ole' card keeping up somewhat well in today's titles. Owned one way back in the day for gaming and various tasks but instead tried 4K on it and that wasn't really doable save in a couple titles. But thanks for making this video to compare ;)

I’d rather buy a midrange priced card every so and so years, than an overpriced card that will fade in a few years and be stuck with it because I blew my whole budget on it. For 1k, you could buy one card today and then another midrange in a few years. That’s why I refuse to upgrade to the 2080ti. I’ll just wait a few years for a midrange card that is comparable. The 2080ti will be worth $200-$300 by then.

I still game at 1440P on a R9 390 from this era. It isn't ideal, but it does better than one might think. A 780 / 790TI / Titan vs 290 / 390 / 290X / 390X review would be interesting to see today.

I still remember how every one of my friends (and me) dreamed of this card. But it was almost 1000€. A legend, especially in quad SLI (not because Q- SLI was good, but because it was the ultimate setup you could get. ). The 8800 Ultra was a similar hype

The benchmark of Metro Exodus is way more demanding than the actual game. The gtx 750ti runs the game at 30-27fps on medium settings. On low it seems to be more like 50-30.

Owned a GTX Titan at launch. Then, when the Titan Black launched, I bought 4. I bought 4 Maxwell Titan Xs when they launched. Then, two Titan X pascals. That's where I stopped. Those two quad machines had me high up on the 3dmark leaderboards for a bit.

Love the look of the heatsync with the transparent glass/plastic over it. Funny when I was in high school I’d have killed for a Titan... now just a couple of years later my GPU is way better and didn’t cost nearly as much.

Ryzen 5 1600 and the Titan Black in my rig, runs at around 80c under full load in summer and it runs all my games, achieving well over 144 fps in esport games.

For the ones that are gonna buy a new GPU and don't want to waste money. Most modern games ask for 4gb of GDDR6. Please check this on all GPU's on the site of your choice. Then, look at your budget, and quality. Make sure it's a good card that is your daily driver for 4-5 years. I hope you found this helpful!

A TITAN Black still runs good on one of my machines with an FX-8350. My brother plays Borderlands 2, LoL, Witcher 3, Fallout 4 very well.

I brought the Titan in 2013 and just moved to a 2080 Super Hybrid because I only play on Digital Combat Simulator and the frame rate beginning to get under 20fps. Now it's always 40-70fps. I will give the old Titasn to a friend who is doing deep learning computation.

I have to say your garden is very nicely laid out, the lawn is especially in good condition, though I did twitch a bit at the hose across it. Nice card as well by the way!

Regarding the crashs/bsods it's a problem with the new ryzen 3600 cpus/Nvidia I think they are going to release a new driver to correct the problem

This gpu would still be a beast if not high end if new games were optimised for the titan... and imagine it have gddr6 memory!

I bought one a few weeks ago for 65 Euros. An absolute amazing price for an amazing GPU

Bought my Titan right after it released, on eBay for $1,200 because they sold out instantly and I couldn't wait. It's served me well ever since, I literally JUST replaced it with a 1080 Ti a few weeks ago... albeit a refurbished one at half the price because I knew the 3000 series was on it's way. Probably going to to get a 3090... eventually. Waiting for them to come out-out and get tested/reviewed for awhile. And yeah maybe AMDs new cards will be viable, but I'm not holding my breath on that, is a serious maybe. But this 1080 Ti will do me well in the meantime, until all the dust settles from all the new stuff coming by end of this year. I still have my Titan and I am keeping it around as backup and/or maybe it could be useful in another machine. Thanks for testing this out, I rarely if ever had a problem with any games, though I used it mainly for CAD work, I do game and it held up surprisingly well until quite recently.

I remember years ago when I was watching a streamer talking about his PC which had two Titans in SLI, one of the first times I realized how ridiculously careless a lot of streamers are with the money they make haha

I bought me a Titan Black (a revision of this here original Titan) for mere $80 about 3 years ago. Been very happy with it. I use my old 22" monitor (because my eyes like it and the color calibrates well) with a resolution of 1680x1050, which I find optimal for my needs, as TV aspect ratio is generally poorly suited for work, which tends to be more vertical. 16:10 is closer to the golden ratio while essentially giving me the same (97% counts as same for me) vertical resolution as 1080p. So my setup also benefits from the fact that I get the same useful resolution while having to render fewer actual pixels in total vs 1080p, 85% to be exact.

I still have one of these cards since March 2013 :)

I have a request, for future videos please include some games that released around the time the graphics card was released. just a few titles that were the best graphics we had from the time that card came out. Kepler was around 2011 so I figure may be Skyrim would be a good sample, battlefield 3, Batman Arkham city, and maybe the first Rage

The minimum recommended psu for this gpu is 600 watts if you go by nvidia, just checked on the official website. Remember that this is still a 250 watt tdp gpu so it needs decent amount of power. Just pointing it out as it may or may not be related to some of the issues.
