Range Rover 4.4 V8 review, best car ever!

This is the review of our 2002 Range Rover Vogue. Fitted with a 4.4 liter BMW V8 engine (M62).
We own the car for almost a year now and it’s really a joy to ride.

The third generation Range Rover, the L322 came after the second gen; the P38 and the first gen; the Range Rover classic.
The L322 was replaced by the 4th gen the Range Rover L405 en later the 5th heb, the Range Rover L460.
The smaller brother of this full size model is the Range Rover sport.

I have one in java black 4.4 v8 and zambezi silver turbo diesel 6 cylinder. Both are good cars but are unreliable as the years go by.

Mooie kleur! Heb zelf een donkerblauwe 4.4 '04. Nog geen gezeur gehad met de ketting? Mijne 2000 km terug laten vervangen... loopt wel weer als nieuw! Blijven heerlijke auto's

Donkerblauw is ook een hele mooi kleur voor de RR. Ik wilde of een blauwe of een groene. De ketting bij onze auto was gedaan net voor ik hem kocht 😅 dat is inderdaad wel een puntje bij dit type motor. Bedankt voor je bericht en geniet van je auto 😃

Leuke review. Ik heb een 08 4.4 vogue. Enig nadeel is prijs van de mrb en verbruik. Onderhoud doe ik grootendeels zelf.

Bedankt voor je bericht! Leuk dat je ook een Range Rover hebt. Met de huidige benzine prijzen in NL is het verbruik inderdaad wel een puntje ja 😅

How would you judge the LC100 up against this one. I have a LC80 with the rare 24v engine but I am looking to change it for a 100 or a RR

I have 2004 RR 4.4 v8 petrol Vogue. Its really does tick all the boxes. Cost me 4k back in November last year. Got a few things i need to do to it but overall love it

i lived in the NL, you forgot to mention that they dont salt the roads so chasis last much longer there

I have the same 2002 4.4 and love it. So much car for £2.5k. The android unit on yours looks like it was for an X5 BMW, you need the E39 unit for a perfect fit.

Thanks for your comment and for the info on the android unit. You’re right, my unit is too big for the space, the E39 unit looks better. I also found some information on Android units that have the Land Rover specific features; set the clock and reset the fuel consumption, etc. That would be ideal. Cheers!

@@BobBee I have an E39 Android unit in mine which I fitted myself - the fit is perfect and looks factory fitted. The problem on the Vogue cars is the old unit switched on the sound, and without it there was none. I got an app called I-Bus app which keeps all the old features ( as you mentioned ) and adds a load of new ones. Ditching the old head unit for something new makes these old cars so much more liveable for daily driving.

Hi i own a l322 as well it's beem a great car however I went to change the fuel filter last night and I forgot to look what color of hose was the inlet and the return there is two a blue one and a black one any chance you might know?

Check timing chain and timing guides keep them serviced with OEM factory service parts and drive them nicely!!! Always have saved money ready for breakdowns

4.4 did not have timing chain tensioner issues i believe
