season 12 is the best for me, I felt like all the characters compelling stories came together and ofc bitter sweet symphony is such a powerful episode

Season 1 is iconic I’m sorry like them all turning against Ashley and essentially none of their friendships with her are ever the same the rest of the show is so funny to me😭😭😩

I recently watched Next Class and it kinda makes me sad that the show was cancelled because I enjoyed seasons 3 and 4 so much, the storylines just reminded me of season 12 because they were well executed. I really wanted to see more, especially from Lola and Saad because for me they were becoming the principal characters of that generation. I actually agree with most of your order, I'm so glad that I'm not the only one thinking that Next Class S3 and S4 were top tier.

Seasons 2-4 and 10-12 are my personal faves, and you're totally right about Next Class seasons 3 and 4 being really good compared to the first half. Season 1 I'll only watch for the finale episode , 5 is literally the season I think of when it comes to just being ok and having more potential since I found it to be a step down from season 4 (probably because of Sean and Ashley being gone especially) , 6 & 7 aren't too bad I think Spinner and Darcy for sure carried season 7, season 8 was eh Jane carried it for me, 9 sucked lol, I'll defend season 13 but can't find myself liking 14.

I have an emotional attachment to season 10 because that’s when I first got really into degrassi! I also really love season 4. I always skip season 1 in my rewatch lol.

Depending on your age season 1 is good actually like I started watching when I was in the 7th/8th grade and it was relatable at the time it came out

season 3-4 & season 10 were the best imo

Season 4 and 5 is what comes to mind when I think of degrassi. The bullying school shooting storyline and the aftermath and long term effects no teen show has written a better storyline that I’ve seen

I definitely agreed with your choices!! Personally, season 10 is my favorite season just because of the Zayn and Riley plot. I wish they could’ve got into Zayn’s character more like his family life, friends, etc instead of just using him for the gay plot though 🤷🏿‍♀️.

Totally agree with your least favorite seasons. I actually haven't watched many episodes from season 1 since I found the tone and types of storylines to be extremely different from the rest of the show, and I couldn't get into it. I rarely watch seasons 8 and 9 because the cast was so weak: I was never into Jane, I hated Peter, and the only character I actually liked was Alli, who didn't have many plots in s8. My favorite seasons are 3, 4, 10 and 12, although I think I like season 14 better than most people because I was glad Zig and Maya finally got together.

I've only watched seasons 10 to 14 and it was only bits and pieces because I watched it on KZfaq. I should watch the whole thing one day.

Its interesting how similar our rankings are. Mine goes 12, 4, 3, 13, 10, 11, 2, 5, 6, 14, 7, 1, 9, 8. I prefer 2 to 5 or 6 because I think jake epsteins performance as craig is possibly the best in the entire series in the 2 parter episodes the start and end season 2. Add in paiges SA, the super underrated Hazel/muslim/hate crime episode and Marco's journey through the closet. 5 was almost as good as 2-4 but 4 was just so good that 5 suffers from a bit of a hangover effect for me. 7, 8 and 9 are the worst seasons to me outside season one and by season 9 the show was honestly cancellably bad because they mismanaged the series' cast. Cant blame them, they were figuring it out as they went but they should have realized college didnt work in season 6 and let the og graduates go then let emmas class go after season 7. But they couldn't because they didnt develop the younger classes because they probably didnt expect to last past the OG characters graduations. Like you said, Darcy was the only saving grace of season 7. Peter and Mia as series leads was awful in 8 but everybody else is boring and they find a way to ruin almost every OG character by holding onto them far too long after their stories had been told. Season 9 wasnt quite as bad as 8 thanks to Holly J and Declan but the rest of the show was a combination of bad writing and terrible long-term character development of Danny and Peters class although they did lose Darcy and Mia to other shows. Had they stayed, maybe seasons 8 and 9 wouldn't have been quite as bad. Drew, Mo, Katie, Marisol, Bianca and Eli should have been introduced in season 7 and season 8 is when clares class comes in. You could even make 7 and 8 the two semesters of emmas senior year then introduce clare and her class in 9. But like you said, season 10 was a Renaissance season. Holly J was a fantastic lead, the characters are likeable and relatable again, the drama is good without resorting to some of the more outlandish storylines of other seasons and its just really good. Then 11 is good but not quite as good before 12 comes out and is the perfect combination of casting, characters/actors and writing/storytelling. 13 is almost just as good and 14 is decent. I'd have to consider Next class as one or two seasons since its only 40 episodes total but I'd put 3/4 right behind 12, 4, 3 and 13 of NG, great cast, great characters, good but not great writing. 1/2 of NC goes above 1, 8 and 9 and is probably tied with 7.

I would say for Degrassi The Next Generation seasons Seasons 1&2 are good in my opinion 😊 even though the first couple of Seasons the characters are still pretty young but in my opinion those are still good Seasons to always watch that's for my opinion even though I also think that season 2 is just a little bit better than season 1 because season 2 Craig and his storyline is like the main focus of the show in season 2 But seasons 3, 4 & 5 are better with great story lines and all the characters are growing up and stuff like that and plus the first five seasons are each a whole school year😊 but yeah starting with season 6 in my opinion it's all right it's not as good as the earlier on Seasons I mean it gets a little different because they split the seasons into semesters by then but it's still all right season and plus it was sad after JT Yorke his character got killed off and also the college story lines are okay as well it's just a little different because some of the rest of the older characters are still at the Degrassi School while like some of the characters like Paige Marco and Ellie and Alex are in college and stuff like that And for season 7 is another okay season is the last season of Emma and Manny and Liberty and Jimmy and Spinner to be at the school as they graduate plus it's the season when the Lakehurst School comes to the Degrassi school after the Lakehurst burns down but this season wraps up the majority of all the original older characters Seasons 8 and 9 in my opinion are kind of like a changing point in the show because all the older characters are leaving the show even though some of them are still in those Seasons but also the newer characters the newer cast is coming into the show as well and Degrassi goes Hollywood at the end of season 8 is okay but I think Degrassi Takes Manhattan that's the end of season 9 it's just a little bit more better😊 and it wraps up the last of the original cast from TNG But for season 10 it becomes a completely different show with all new characters in the show is called just Degrassi after being called Degrassi the Next Generation for the previous seasons the show is known for Degrassi for the rest of the later half of the show but Seasons 10, 11, and 12 are really great seasons for the later half of the series but Seasons 13 and 14 in my opinion get kind of boring in the show kind of goes downhill after that season 13 is alright even the death of Adam torres was sad but the rest of season 13 was okay but season 14 some stuff in that season really just didn't make sense like the Degrassi nudes and for the last half of season 14 Mr Simpson getting kicked out as the principal it didn't make sense because Mr Simpson came back as the principal in Degrassi Next Class but overall Degrassi the Next Generation also known as just Degrassi for seasons 10-14 well is a great show but for Degrassi the next class isn't really my favorite show in my opinion but it's still pretty cool even though it only had 40 episodes and 4 seasons which is 10 episodes of each of the 4 seasons it's not as my favorite because of how short it is but other than that it's still a pretty cool show 😎 But I would say season 1 of Next Class is okay but I think season 2 was a little bit better and seasons 3&4 of Degrassi next class was even alot more better I might watch next class again but next class isn't really my favorite Degrassi show but it's still cool

To me I felt like the show became too hyper and over exaggerated after season 9. So I like 1-9 and feel like seasons 10-14 is a completely different show. 🤷🏼‍♀️
