The way I was yelling at my tv when you put Jimmy in redemption instead of theme song 💀💀 I’m sorry but he deserves top tier from how he dragged Spinner for being a bigot then made sure Marco wasn’t left out of their friend group, the way he dropped everything to go find Marco when he knew something was wrong and when he found him after he was attacked he just hugged him and comforted him instantly, he messed up with bullying Rick but he also realized he was wrong and befriended him and even fought Spinner because Spinner was bullying him, the way he didn’t coddle Spinner after what happened with Rick, and the fact that he still helped Ashley despite her constantly fucking him over. He had his flaws like slut shaming Ashley the first season and bullying Rick but he always made up for it by being the only sensible character on this hellscape of a show. Sorry for the essay but I ride HARD for Jimmothy Brooks!

omg for some reason since he got Manny pregnant I could NOT stand Craig. I hated his character it just gave me such a weird vibe idk and Ellie! sorry but I couldn't stand her either 😭 I just didn't like the whole 'sad goth girl' she had going on and again, I don't know why. And yes, Ashley was absolute trash, probably one of the worst characters in my opinion, even before the drugs and the cringey makeover. And I'm a couple of months late but season 10 intro song lives in my heart ~

i actually like that they made a lot of these characters flawed i agree with putting them in low places when they are flawed people. but it is realistic that teens can sometimes go through a scummy stage. especially in degrassi.

I hate to admit it, but I think among the main "drama" girls, my favourite is Maya. Even though I like Emma and Claire and have always been able to root for them and understand their arcs, to me, Maya is the most realistic of them three, personality wise. The way Claire and Emma were always brave, as teenagers, no matter the situation felt a little unrealistic to me. Many young adults would be as troubled and immature as Maya during the adversities the girls had to face during the series.

Dallas was Alli’s only good boyfriend so I gotta thank him for that😩❤️

I think it's really unfair to judge Spike (not "EMMA'S MOM", SPIKE) based on her presence in TNG. You have to watch Degrassi Junior High and Degrassi High to get her character. And she was actually quite important because if it weren't for her getting pregnant in Junior High, NEXT GENERATION wouldn't have existed. So yeah, I think putting Spike in the lowest tier because she didn't appear much in TNG doesn't really count. She's literally the most important character in the whole franchise.

Having Jimmy anywhere lower than theme song is blasphemous, he carried the show for the first 7 seasons and rarely had a bad storyline.

Helping Miles with the play and practically saving him from depression when he needed it most, she was kind to everyone, help Yale throughout their Discovery of being gender fluid/non binary, giving that guy with the camera a chance, THE BADASS WAY SHE HANDED HER ABORTION. Clare definitely went through it, but she also treated her friends like shit. She always overlooked Ally and Jenna's problems. Everything always had to be about Clare! She also would make rude comments to them and then only apologize when she needed a friend, and they would take her back every time.

I honestly think at least half of the characters should get a therapist. I mean they all went through heavy stuff like drugs, EDs, abusive relationships and I can't even list it all. At least everyone who was a student at Degrassi when Rick shoot Jimmy should have a therapy. And it's something really unrealistic because sometimes a character goes trough so heavy things like having a cancer and a miscarriage the same year and after a few weeks before that happend they are all good again like nothing happend? So weird

Adam’s placement is amazing. Loved him so much. Yeah sometimes he could be a lil irritating, but he was so sweet 😭 I would’ve put Eli in theme song 😭 Zig deserves redemption but I may be bias because I still have a ridiculously huge crush on him 😭 I would place maya in both therapy and musical, she was a reasonable person, the things she went thru made her a bit messy tho. I def agree with Alli’s placement, a bit boy crazy but was still an amazing friend and found her way JT’s placement was also beautiful, loved him, still have a crush on him 😭 I hate how they made him and Mia get involved with each other. Tiny deserved better. I hate how they put him into the gang stereotype. She kept Archie in check and lively during his cancer, she was there for Manny when she got knocked up, she even housed both manny and Sean at some points when they had no where to go. She also opened her home to Connor to live with them. Id even argue that she was a slight catalyst for Claire after she stole her “toy” and brought it to school with her and Claire learned not to be ashamed of exploring her own body even tho her mom totally flipped on her for it. To me, spike and Joey were outstanding parents. I feel that even tho we didn’t see her, we still saw how her presence affected other characters.

ive been thinking so much about the adam character since rewatching and i so badly want to say they should have gotten a transgender actor for the roll but its so hard because the writers knew it was going to be a back and forth of having adam be faced with unaccepting family members in the early seasons with him that would have been triggering and not as easily possible for a transgender actor to do so it makes more sense to me having jordi play him but i do with they had after adam a transgender actor or actress on the show

I don’t know how you can rank JAKE over Emma and Ashley?! Although both girls were suuuper annoying the first few seasons, I couldn’t imagine Degrassi without them! I really don’t agree with Page being in theme song, to me she was more redemption worthy! Remember 1st season when her and Terry wanted Spinner! She sabotaged Terry chances, taking advantage of her insecurities, convincing her to drink Sherry not stopping her from getting drunk and making a fool of herself, at the same time I Terry was strong enough to speak up for herself. She also i. season 1 threw Hazel under the bus regarding the whole tearing Emma article out of school paper. Season 2, 3, maybe 4 seen so much growth in her! However, when she was dating the teacher who was a complete dumb ass for dating in under age student! Manny called her out, they fought! She tried to force Manny to be mascot, take credit for her routine, then after Manny was name prom queen, humiliating her by tearing her dress off in front of everyone!
