Love this Video! However, On the Pats(as a pats fan), Drake Maye is a project QB that probably won't start day 1. He will probably be a backup to Brissett & have some time to develop. Yes, the O Line is trash as well, but this is the Pats in full rebuild mode now. they got all the pieces they needed from this draft. So I'd say, Maye's situation is a C tier, maybe B tier (but that's a reach).

Putting McCarthy’s situation over Caleb’s is mind-boggling. JJettas is incredible but Caleb has 3 #1 receivers and a comparable TE, as well as a proven OC.

I think it's the worst situation for Michael Penix to be on the Falcons who already have a QB. It's good to have younger guys like JJ McCarthy and Drake Maye sit before getting to start. But Micheal is a guy who should start immediately because of his experience, and personally, I think he's more than capable of being a great NFL QB in his rookie season. The only reason people didn't think he was gonna be picked highly was his age and injury past. But he's been healthy for the last two seasons and I'm not too worried about that. The falcons are one of my favorite teams but I wish they didn't have Kirk Cousins or let someone else pick Mike

I see no reason Kirk would have signed in ATL if he knew they were gonna take MPJ. He wasn't told. I don't think their HC knew either. The pick made no sense. I feel bad for MPJ because its gonna be a tough locker room for no fault of his own. His situation is gonna be D tier.

1:53 -- I'd say you could call Andrew Luck's initial situation pretty good for a #1 overall pick, considering it was to a Colts team that'd made the playoffs for a then-record 9 seasons from 2002-10. They were only in that draft position ( #SuckforLuck ?) because Peyton Manning missed the whole 2011 season, as opposed to most teams that go from bad to worse until they hit rock bottom to get the top pick.

Daniels is arguably at least the second most talented qb in the draft. He will do just fine in DC and has an actual coaching staff, which Howell didnt have. EB is gone so no more long developing plays. O line is a non factor imo. He can scramble anyway and never missed a start. Good arm for Terry and Dotson and as long as the defense holds up, theyre a 7-8 win team.

I think you're drastically underselling the patriots situation At best Maye is walking into a scenario where the pats have selected their true 1 and 2 at wide reciever who are both complimentary styles to the way he plays vs the worst case scenario where they still have no real offensive playmakers Either scenario he is getting reps with brand new guys from day one...the same age and potential as him starting from day one of camp...if they all pan out they'll all be in sync Nothing beats JJs scenario but pats are not a D.

Penix pick shocked me, but then I looked at Cousins's contract (via Spotrac) If cut after 6/1 in 2026 (so after 2 years), the dead cap would be $12.5 million in both 2026 and 2027 which is very palatable. Even if you give Cousins 3 years, then it is a $12.5 million dead cap in only 2027. Still find it an odd pick, could have traded down if they wanted him so bad imo, but I get it after looking at the contract. Penix could start year 3
