If the Bears actually have the number 1 offense for half the year they will be hyped up a lot more. It was 4 games. A little less to pretty much 1/4 of the year

The packers ended 12 games within 1 possession. They were 7-5 in that stretch. Of that stretch includes the Eagles game shockingly enough, even though they lost. If the packers were to undefeated in their one score games, they would have won 13 games for the 3rd season in a row, and won the division. Had they gone winless in the one score games they would have lost 16 games, firmly slotting them the #1 pick. Thing is they were merely average, not really on either extreme and finished middle of the pack. My point? They could do exactly that again, with a weaker schedule and playing the NFC South. We may see 3 NFC North teams in the playoffs this year with my expectation of the Vikings finishing last in the division for once.

They also had a historically brutal schedule last year.

I pretty much agree as a Vikings fan. There is a lot of stuff that needs to be fixed before we are true contenders, especially on our defense. The Lions are probably the most likely to win the division next year, though I would put the Vikings as second most likely. I wouldn’t mind the Lions winning though tbh, I would prefer the Vikings to win it, but the Lions rarely get the spotlight so I’d be happy for them, it would be way better than the Packers winning

The NFC North is mid af, the NFC South is mid af or worse. And the Giants do not scare me, so that leaves the Cowboys. Easily the 4 best teams in the NFC are Seattle, Niners, Boys and Eagles.

I haven't seen him show glimpses. The best showing he had was against a prevent look from the Eagles. The DBs were 5 yards off on all of the passes. He did make the throws to complete the passes and the WR did help him out by having a break away for a TD. I just don't see where the QB was all that great. I see him at best being a Jimmy G level talent QB. Good enough to get you to 10 wins or so but a liability on a team trying to win a super bowl.

Personally, I think it's the Saints. If I recall, Vegas would agree. I think the Saints have a few more question marks, but if those question marks turn into positives, I think there's a real argument that the Saints could be playing in the NFCCG. We're going to see what Carr truly is this season, imo. He's got a lot of talent with a lot of stability around him. A healthy Thomas/Olave/Shaheed could be a very dynamic group with a QB that can make the short and deep passes. Thomas is a question mark obviously, but Olave and Shaheed performed strongly with a carousel of quarterbacks. How much Kamara's suspension hurts is another question. I also think the OLine is also quite thin. There's decent depth, but they're an injury or two away from being a disaster. All healthy, I think the Saints secondary is top 3 three in the NFL. Defensive line and LB are super thin, but talented at the top - more for LB. There's another big question mark in coaching, but no more or less than Tampa's own situation, imo. Whereas the Bucs have less question marks, but their ceiling feels a lot lower mostly due to the lack of a clearly competent QB while the floor is likely a good bit higher. Evans (even if he rarely performs well against Lattimore.), Godwin, and Gage is a scary trio if Baker (or less likely, Trask.) manages to perform well at all. Not too sure what Tampa looks like at TE with Gronk (and Brate, no?) gone. OLine is still strong. Probably right there with the Saints. The front seven for Tampa is going to be what wins them games this season, imo. I think the secondary is good, but they can be had. They struggled even against an inept Saints offense last season. I don't think they're clear-cut, but I think they're clearer than any other team in the South is. At least for this season.

Who tf did they lose that’s gonna hurt them? Thielen, Kendrick’s and Pat Peterson were all garbo last year and Cooks is injured half the year every season.

Seahawks also led the Niners at half in the playoffs. They also went from a great offense to an elite offense this offseason. They added to an already good secondary with signing Love and drafting the best CB in the draft, to pair with the best CB of last draft, Diggs and hopefully Adams, and others. Wagner is still one of the best run stopping LBs, Bush is looking more confident in his knee and having a good camp. Getting Reed back, and getting Jones are key picks ups, while drafting an athletic beast in Hall. Every part of the Seahawks has either improved, or stayed the same.

On paper yes but they play in the hardest division in football. U got the defending NFC champs eagles, a giants team that made it to the 2 round of the postseason and a really underrated commies team. The would have been big dogs if they played in the north or south.

Rookies are a gamble, 1st round picks have only a 14% average of being starting quality players. It goes down for each round after that. Also signing 30+ year old FA will not make that defense better. So no I don't consider that making their defense better.
