Gotta say as a Liverpool fan even I underrated MacAllister myself, we've had Szoboslai being the best at the start, then Jones through the middle and now its Macca. The difference is hes been consistent throughout the whole season, 8/10+ every single game, hes our Wijnaldum.

@Edd-zd5rm Rodri controls games for a possession heavy city side, which Rice doesn't do, it'smostlyJorginho that does it. Rice basically plays like box to box but Rodri plays a pure CDM even John Stones pushes higher up the pitch than Rodri still they have the same stats. Rodri is 27 and Rice is 25... at 25 Rodri was the main man at city where he scored 2 clutch goals against Arsenal and the 2nd goal for that Villa comeback. He has like 7 goals in the prem that season and all were important ones and they won the league by a single point.

Rodri has more goals and assists this season than Rice. 7 and 10 in all competitions to Rice 6 and 7. Both on 6 and 6 in the EPL specifically. Rodri has also played 200 fewer minutes. And why not talk about Mac Allister’s stats? He’s on 4 goals 6 assists in over 850 minutes fewer than Rice. He was injured throughout December which is when Endo took over and he didn’t come back until Endo left for the Asia Cup. He has a g/a per 240 minutes to Rice’s per 250 minutes… This nonsense was hard to watch.

There’s players been shoed, Liverpools midfield has just completely outplayed and dominated Man City, made Rodri, silva and KDB look average, using goals and assists as the “stats is embarrassing” use proper stats for midfielders, not stats that a lot are getting from set pieces.

Rodri did not look average that match. KDB Alvarez and foden did got Outplayed, but not rodri and Bernardo. If anything those two still performs. That is why KDB is benched.

Honestly I think Bruno G is Newcastle best player and he deserves to be in the top 10 . In my top 10 I’d have Rodri , Endo , Maca , Rice , Bruno G , Douglas L, Alvers from West ham , Pascal from Brighton and you can list whomever you want nextb

Odegaard hasn't played as a 10 once this season. Arsenal don't play with 10s. Odegaard is an 8 that drops deep a lot to help bring the ball up the pitch

odegaard is an 8, not necessarily a box to box but not a 10 either. De bruyne is a striker/right winger and occasionally a RWB when cant be arsed to get up the pitch
