I am kinda surprised Try That In A Small Town never received a single mention in the entire video given it's probably the biggest elephant in the room the pop charts have ever had in a long while when it comes to "worst hits" discussion. I even thought for a brief second you were going to during that part at 38:39 when talking about Christmas tunes showing up on the year-end. Anyway, really solid video either way and the editing is still extremely impressive!

Considering most music youtubers skew far-left, of course people would make "Try That in a Small Town" a success out of spite and of course people with both feet in reality like you or me would distance themselves from it due to them being incredibly sick of culture war dogcrap.

@@NebLleb I don't make a point to place a burgeoning emphasis on the politics of my peers because I don't find that to be healthy or fair (especially if that's the treatment I want to get from others). If other people want to put it on their Worst list because they feel strongly about it, that's their call. It just doesn't have to be mine.

Number 10, who knew CB was into anime? Still can he just, like, shut up? Number 7, as someone who doesn't have as much of a problem with children as much as you do, that for sure is the worst use of a children's choir I've ever heard. Not because the children's choir did badly (They sounded beautiful IMO like most children's choir I hear despite the subject matter of the song they were featured in). No. It's because of the fact they are being used in a song with such subject matter as this. Number two I actually dig, I hate to admit. But only a little, ok? xD Those are the highlights for me. Along with your thoughts on the samples, which made my absolute day. There was no issue with the audio for me. I still heard you as I normally would. 👍 Still knocked it out of the ballpark at the end of the day!

Not really, the year-end chart has always been my main criteria for the series. Plus, I'm not really someone that makes a point to listen to bad music, so these are the only ones that kind of fit that mold.

I appreciate your interest in a 2011 retrospective list, but it's just not really something I'm interested in doing. The ones I did for 2012 were really only intended to being a one-off thing in honor of the 10 year anniversary of graduating high school, and while I could do one for 2011, I don't really want to. Also, I like "Tonight Tonight", like, a lot.

They're all confirmed predators. Crying guy = Onision, a once hugely popular youtuber who has manipulated his numerous partners and found sketchy ways to engage with minors sexually. There's actually a lawsuit going on right now about him. Demon = MustDestroyAll, a once respected youtuber in the community I have ties to, the ranting community, who's the subject of one of my most popular videos after info got out of him sexting and receiving nudes from teenage girls and threatening them into silence. Rainbow clown = Dahvie Vanity of Blood on the Dance Floor, who has acted really creepily and irresponsibly with girls even younger than 13. Asian guy = Amos Yee, an atheist youtuber who got persecuted in his home country of Singapore for making videos critical of islam, and then justified CP which spawned a loyal following of other pro-pedophilia advocates, and he also recently got arrested for possession of CP. Not too hard to see why these are the only kinds of people I think it's appropriate to claim hatred towards.

Black rappers saying the "n" word multiple times in their "music", no one bats an eye. Anyone else say it once and everyone loses their minds. Plus, I have no problems with saying I hate Meghan Trainor, Taylor Swift, all rappers from 2010s to now, and many more.

Try That In A Small Town is the worst song of 2023 in my opinion. I didn’t necessarily have anything against Jason Aldean, aside from stupid crap like Burnin It Down, but Try That In A Small Town did significant damage to my feelings toward him.

its been a weird year for me in terms of music, i explored a lot of music i hated back when i only listened to metal music and one of the albums is 2002's stripped by christina aguleria, back then they were pointing out the double standard between males and females getting around, and i am sure it was talked about before then so she is very late with this one drake has always been the most boring rapper to me, still dont get what people see in him, i would take iggy over drake, imo eminem sampled what is love well but he didnt hit us over the head with the sample its more subtle meghan trainor is pretty much always a shoo in for any of these lists, she somehow get's worse with every new song to me

As I said in the video, the weakest I've experienced in years. But that being said, there's some stuff I put on the Best list that surprised me, so it wasn't all bad.
