There are songs on the Songs About Jane album that are dedicated to Jane (Adam Levine's ex-girlfriend) and other songs are not dedicated to her. The only songs dedicated to Jane are This Love, Shiver, Tangled, The Sun, Must Get Out, Through With You and Sweetest Goodbye Harder To Breathe, She Will Be Loved, Sunday Morning and Secret are not songs dedicated to Jane. Harder to Breathe was written when the record label was wanting more and more songs. She Will Be Loved is dedicated to Sam Farrar (Adam Levine's friend and bandmate) and a girl he was dating at the time. Sunday Morning is about a girl Adam once dated and Secret is also about another girl Adam Levine dated. The songs Not Coming Home, Sunday Morning, Ragdoll and Secret were written when the band was still called Kara's Flowers and even before James Valentine joined the band. In fact, James Valentine has said that he met Kara's Flowers when they played Not Coming Home for the first time in 2000, and he said that he had a feeling that one day he would join the band and he is now in it. Even when the band was in the Songs About Jane era, they had already written songs like Wasted Years which they played from 2003 to 2005 which was on the album Overexposed but with changes to the lyrics, Miss You Love You was on the album It Won't Be Soon Before Long but was only performed in 2003, Can't Stop, also from the album It Won't Be Soon Before Long, had its first performance in 2005 at Rock Am Ring

Rashida Jones sang backing vocals for the songs Tangled, Secret and Not Coming Home. She returned to work with the band in 2007 on the album It Won't Be Soon Before Long, providing backing vocals for the song Kiwi

For me Radiohead are the perfect blend of beauty and almost heavenly music and rock. But even tho I think so highly of them I completely understand if someone doesn’t like them or even more I think they can get boring if you don’t click with the music

There’s no such thing as Christian metal or satanic metal. God created music but you can tell who people worship by the lyrics, image and message. Satan corrupts music because God created it. The last thing Satan wants you to do is glorify God with it. Beware of what you listen to. Christian music is the best to stick with even if the lyrics mean nothing to you. It seeps in and influences on a subconscious level. Scientific studies have proven it. Psychological studies have proven it. The Bible proved it first.

I laugh when someone has a problem with Christian lyrics in metal music because they don’t see their hypocrisy when they don’t complain about the satanic/hedonistic lyrics in their secular metal. They worship a god of a different religion, they just refuse to address it. They’re worshiping the god of hell/flesh/hedonism/lust. So stupid. We all follow a god, but is it the God of the Holy Bible (big G), or the god of hell (little g)? I prefer the God of the Holy Bible. God/Jesus Christ created music, Lucifer/Satan corrupts it. A little research in the Bible reveals all of this. Everyone chooses who they want to “brainwash” them. Be brainwashed by God/Jesus Christ, not by Satan/self. Gods bless and Metal on!

Shades this is why the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame considered Hip Hop “Rock n Roll” After the whole Dolly Parton thing the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame put a message on their mission page saying what Rock n Roll is Here is the text without caps lock: “Born from the collision of rhythm & blues, country, and gospel, rock & roll is a spirit that is inclusive and ever-changing. The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame celebrates the sound of youth culture and honors the artists whose music connects us all.” And Ice Cube said in NWA’s induction speech about why Hip Hop is part of Rock n Roll saying “Rock ’n’ roll is not an instrument. It’s not even a style of music. It’s a spirit Rock ’n’ roll is not conforming to the people who came before you, but creating your own path in music and life. That is rock ’n’ roll, and that is us”

Can't believe I just listened to almost 50 minutes of some dude talking about a band I'm not even remotely interested in. Maybe it's because I like learning new stuff. Or maybe it's because I've watched all his other vids and I really dig the writing, presentation, editing, everything. Brilliant! Instant subscriber.

I believe Not Coming Home was recorded in-studio. The backing vocals in the song are clearly Adam, and no other live performance that's been recorded sounds remotely similar to the album. Only brief footage exists of it being created though, a small clip of Mickey Madden recording the bassline over a drum track. Should also be noted that the guitar work is credited to Adam and Jesse, as Not Coming Home was written before James joined the band. Footage of them playing it without James live is on youtube.

I cannot think of any reason that a real Christian would tell an unbeliever to not listen to Christian music. But Stryper does not reflect true Christianity. They are males with long hair, makeup, pierced ears, tattoes, tight revealing clothing, users of corrupted Bible versions. Their "Lady" song video showed a woman wearing makeup & having a bath.

You're not wrong. Motley does get a free pass from Metal fans (or used to), because that's how a lot of use metal fans in our 50's got introduced to metal. 1983 was an exciting year for hard rock and metal. It was Ozzy, Judas Priest, Maiden, Quiet Riot and Motley Crue. Unfortunately they refer to "Shout at the devil" as "accidentally" stumbling on to Heavy Metal🙄. But at the time, that was the number one record you had in your metal collection that everyone was talking about. It was all over by Theater of Pain.

I've send out some other emails, and I also emailed NordVPN (yes I use it) asking if they had any input on what could have caused this since I assumed VPN's are meant to fend off hackers, and they think it was either a virus or a phishing thing (I do have an idea of where that might have come from). I'm planning on sending some follow up emails and possibly seeing if Reddit has anything to say, but other than that, I feel like I'm basically being told to wait for if/when I get any reply from either of the Facebook support emails. Other than that, I'm trying not to dwell too much on this because it can't be good for my mental health. The other video I posted last week certainly helped with that and I also started work on another script, but that's where I'm at right now.

And holy Shit Chronic Future with time & time again is another Holy Nostalgia moment. Also thought it was extremely wholesome on the Dropkick Murphy’s section for the two of you. It was a great video where you had your brother featured as well as getting out of your comfort zone.

I have heard of Heavens edge, KINGOFTHEHILL(seen them open up for Steelheart on the ‘tangled in reigns’ tour.. they put on an awesome show and they were awesome!, heard of bad for good, The scream, Dirty Rhythm, I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE Shotgun Messiah.. second coming wha awesome.. Violent new Breed was good also!, south gang was played on Headbangers ball a lot, heard of Harline also, Trouble Tribe, saints and sinners, wild side, and Roxy Blue … I was a teen in those years, and played music myself, so we always seemed out new bands… one you did NOT mention Smashed Gladys.. they came out in the mid to late 80’s and was female lead.. but she kicked ass! And also… bands like Lilian Axe, DangerDanger and dangerous toys.. did pretty good, but and Trixter would of been lesser known than Steelheart.. but the time a lot of those bands came out, the hairband party was over and accepting grunge bands instead of Hair bands.. it was a depressing time for some of us.

Me watching the video: Thank you for making this video. I personally never for why people were so butt hurt about Maroon 5’s halftime show or the stuff to do with SpongeBob in it. Oh no. A certain song from your childhood wasn’t performed at the Super Bowl? So? Who cares? If the Kid’s Choice Awards hadn’t done a tribute for Stephen Hillenberg, I’d get the backlash for that since Hillenberg had associations with Nickelodeon and not the NFL. Plus, it was a stupid “controversy” in the first place. Every argument I’ve heard for the backlash has always been weak and easy to debunk.

Mad respect to the Crue for being the only band in the history of earth to be well beyond their 40's NOT to sellout by mellowing out! Yes! Even RnR legends Elvis, The Beatles, The Who, Ledzepplin, even Def Leppard, and especially Bon Jovi to name a few ALL sold-out either jump from Rock to Country or go full blown cheesed out Pop Rock. Motley fkn Crue now in their 50s & 60s have ALWAYS evolved their sound through the years and are literally writing their BEST music with a heavier edge...( hence ALL BAD THINGS, THE DIRT, DOGS OF WAR) which I, personally, have been waiting to hear from them since Sht At The Dvl... Yo Motley... GIVE US MORE NEW MUSIC w/ that middle finger attitude...🖕😛🖕 pa Sorry but Motley Crue is so not a hair metal band. Sure...they were there But Motley Crue 1994 w Corabi totally separated Motley from the rest of those bands. Sorry... is what it is. and btw.... Dogs Of War huts friggin hard
