Tech had a heavy metal group he was trying to get together called Kabosh. He did a few metal songs. My fav is Love 2 Dislike Me. Little Pills is good to.

Features like this make me miss those early 2000’s tours that would have metal and rap acts on the bill. Us metal kids got exposed to rappers that we weren’t necessarily aware of and vice versa.

I don't listen to much rap music, but I really enjoyed this. I typically do like when rock and rap artists collaborate. I wonder if it's the marriage of rap artists being excellent lyricists and the rock artists understanding the instrumentation with drums/guitars/bass more? I'm not sure. Thanks for introducing this song!

You know, Serj had a huge solo career since SoaD broke up in 2012. Collaborated with heaps of folks. SoaD only started making music again last year, but Serj has (I think) at least 4 solo albums.

More of a hiatus that started in late 2006. They wouldn’t return to the stage until 2011 & have been on tour on & off since. They’ve only released 2 new songs in protest of the war crimes perpetrated by Turkey & Azerbaijan back in 2020

Tech is easily one of the most versatile artists to date, and he’s got such a large catalogue of features, something for everyone since he’s done songs with near enough everyone worthwhile too To name a few: Serj, Corey Taylor from Slipknot, Jonathan Davis from Korn, Joyner Lucas, Kendrick Lamar, Lil Wayne, MGK, The Doors, Cee Lo Green, T-Pain, Whiz Khalkha, B.o.B I mean hell, he did Speedom with Eminem & Krizz Kaliko and also did a feature on a song by Tupac back in the day, if that doesn’t say a LOT about how respected Tech is (and for good reason), then I don’t know what does

I absolutely love how Tech often blends his rap with metal music. It seems like it shouldn’t go together BUT when Tech is involved it’s so great. I saw Tech perform in a Rockfest lineup (and he does this often) He’s got an incredible crossover fan base from metal heads.

System of a Down concert 2013, Waitakere Stadium, West Auckland, New Zealand was fantastic. They sped up each song and fit about 25 songs into their set. Serj even offered consolation for "our brothers and sisters" lost in the 6.5 mag earthquake

I never saw the interview with Tech saying hes been a SOAD fan since Sugar. Sugar was literally their first song they ever performed live. And I 100% believe Tech when he says he was on board since then.

The guitar player of SOAD has another band called Scars on Broadway the drummer of SOAD is or was also in that band as well.. The drummer also has a band called These grey men...also the bass player of SOAD..has a project called Achozen with rza. You should look them all up 😁

I’ll never forget seeing Tech N9ne and MGK together back in 2012 at a tiny little 300-500 person bar in Jacksonville Beach, FL called Free Bird. Tickets were like $20.

I'm not a massive rap fan, but the Strange Music catalog is stacked. Tech, Krizz, Murs, Wrekonize (He follows me on Twitter 😅), etc.. Tech did another song (Speedom) and asked Eminem to be on it. Em didn't charge him for the verse simply out of respect. That's real shit

Tech 9, How about a #2 for 'Straight out the Gate'. Try 'Straight in and make e straight'. At the end of the piece of communication say, 'Together We Enter, Straight into the Gate' serious. You all can put in and light it on fire. As for the best. Hum, try a little of this beat for maybe one verse and then go back to the original heart it's all on know". That rap holds such a strong message. It's Iran, Irac and Saudi Arabia. Got another band for your to listen to who has done a song with Tech N9ne. Hollywood Undead. The song they did with Tech N9ne is Idol. But as far as songs just by them, you can't go wrong with Undead. City. No. 5. Black Dahlia. Everywhere I Go. I would say to start off with Undead though. I think you both will really enjoy Charlie Scene. And be sure to get the unedited versions of the songs.

Serj left system of a down for close to a decade, did his own solo stuff. They have came back together now, have yet to release a new album but they did do some touring shows.
