Rapsody takes us deep inside her new album Please Don’t Cry. Big Boy had a chance to check out an early release of the new album Please Don’t Cry and expresses his true review of the album.
How did Rapsody feel going into this album after experiencing a breakup and the loneliness of the pandemic? Big Boy asks Rapsody about the process of how to let go of tracks that were meaningful but didn’t make the cut.
Rapsody opens up about mental health, panic attacks, support systems and shutting out the negativity and bad influences that take us off our path.

I met her after a show in Pittsburgh where she came down off stage greeted all of the fans and took pictures. She is very authentic and humble.

her stuff reminds me of the classic hip hop albums, hard to earn et al., not in sound or feel but you hear that its released and you just go and (buy) it because it will come to you

My years before social media had so much control, there were songs for the clubs, songs for radio, some songs you listen to on MTV with the video, songs for the protest, a song for the soul, songs for the party etc. Today many artists are aiming for the party. And that's why Mr. Moral & Big Steppers wasn't recieved properly first and it went back up billboard. It's like Jay Z 4:44, Nas Life Is Good & Mr.Moral from a woman spective. We barely hear a woman in Hip Hop give us this music.

After listening to please don’t cry 😂 It’s scary how I felt like I was hearing my own story from a woman’s perspective , it’s almost like I was supposed to come across her music. Can’t be the only that feels like that
