Even though, Freddie Mercury died, in 1991, and John Deacon retired, after the death of Freddie Mercury. Thank you, for your music, your memories, your humanity, your legacy, and your legend, Freddie Mercury, Brian May, Roger Taylor, and John Deacon, Queen.

Actually its trough misery that makes you find out if the people you call "friends" are actually friends or just selfish bastards who may deserve an Oscar for pretending so well to be a "friend". And the more horrible the misery the more clear that becomes. Now I don't envy Freddie for the fate he met, but I think that it *is* clear that the people who thought to be friends actually WERE friends who stayed with him as long as they could up to the very end. And most people can hardly imagine what it must have meant for him as only a few get into the situation they really get to know their friends. And if Freddie is to be envied for something during this horrible story, it's for having friends like that.

Freddie loved, and respected ALL his friends, and they loved him, too. I am glad, on 1 thing, though. He saw Prenter for what he was, a complete, and utter Judas.

His friends protecting him without a second thought... made me cry so much. Their loyalty is exceptionally admirable and completely understandable. This video made me cry. Being 300 yards away and knowing you're nearly there but it's too late... I was a weeping mess xxx

Brian May is one of the nicest human beings ever. A great guitarist ... and he has never had a bad word to say about Freddie. Love you to bits Brian. xx

They were truly brothers in arms, those three guys honoured Freddie's wishes until the very end which is what they knew he wanted as he was such a private guy and as usual the media showed zero respect for a guy that was dying and just wanted to be left alone to end his days with those he cared about, not the media and sticky noses but his bandmates and family.

I get particularly emotional at this as we played 'These Are The Days Of Our Lives' at my sister's funeral. She was a huge Queen fan. Freddie was as brave a bloke as he was as charismatic a showman.

This always makes me emotional. You listen how they used to sometimes fight and have disagreements and then when they found out about Freddie, suddenly these issues became insignificant. Great job to all members for allowing Freddie to keep his private life as private as it could be.

I remember when that grainy picture came out. I also denied it, didn't want to believe it. Told my friends, he's not dying... and then he did. One of the saddest moments in my life.

Freddies has and always will be one of the ( if not the greatest) songwriters this country has produced there is NOONE that can come remotely close to him . Freddie was a musical genius who are we to judge his PRIVATE life the world is a much lesser place without him .Freddie you will live forever in my heart and i thank you for everything that you gave us rest in peace .... THE SHOW MUST GO ON

Never knew there was a drug to control aids, you hear brian saying if Freddie would have got it a year later he still would have been alive, the world has missed out on the songs that he would have wrote and the great man he was still being with us, so bloody sad,,,,all these years on his death is still heartbreaking. god bless you Freddie RIP.

Not only are there drugs to control HIV but with good treatment people can live long lives. This happened partly because the deaths of prominent people like Freddie inspired massive investment and donations to HIV research.

@@sophiejameson4064, it was nice to hear Brian, and Roger talking about The Freddie Mercury Tribute Concert, in advance, on 20th April, 1992, at Wembley Stadium. They knew exactly who to get to pay tribute, to their legendary bandmate, Freddie Mercury.

Such an extraordinary man on so many levels. It's beautiful how he just wanted to spend the last of his life doing what he loved instead of letting people pity him, that just tells us how incredibly strong he was. Freddie Mercury was born to be on that stage. Most importantly the friendship between Freddie and the guys was so heartwarming, and if you ask me, those guys are legends for a reason.
