Can you talk about those like 14 seeds where end dimension does not generate? (Bug MC-267423) java edition

I didn't realize that strongholds without end portal rooms were so rare. The last time I played Minecraft I decided I was going to sit down and actually beat it since I never had before. I spent hours building up my character and farming for eyes and felt so accomplished once I found a stronghold. No end portal room. I was so mad I never touched the game again.

I do remember seeing a natural iron golem spawn on a *superflat* world. The conditions to spawn houses fail much less often on flat surfaces, so there's a chance for a very big village to generate. Despite that, its still around a 1/20 chance under ideal conditions

The sugar cane one would be impossible in 1.13+ as waterfalls only start flowing after the chunks are fully generated. This might even be impossible in earlier versions if the generation of flowing water from waterfalls (instant tile ticks), happens after sugar cane generation, which is quite likely

Back in early 2020, me and a few friends wanted to speedrun the game, but everyone was on different platforms. Naturally we chose to play bedrock for this reason. When we got to the stronghold we searched for ages but couldn’t find the portal room. Eventually we made a backup and went into creative to destroy the whole area and we were right; there was no portal room in the whole stronghold. We had to go to a different one, but it was a very strange anomaly.

I don't think I ever saw a natural iron golem spawn, but I remember it making early iron farms super tedious to try and build. Big planes of water ringed by just doors, since beds didn't count at the time, and with villagers trapped in little glass cages. Thinking about it makes me feel old lol.

Could've sworn that I found an iron golem in a superflat world in like 2015/16. Don't know if that's in the time-frame or not but I remember it as the first time I saw one without making one.

There are a lot of seeds with sugar cane that's naturally 4 blocks tall. I myself have come across quite a few, so it's not really rare. Never seen anything taller than that though.

I swear i’ve played a world with a iron golem spawning naturally, and that i remember some villages being massive!

If you don't mind, I'm going to share a sort of anomaly I encountered in 1.17(?) I started an Aternos server with my friend, and we spawned by the beach with a surface mob spawner room, but that's not the anomaly. We spent some time doing the normal exploration and minecraft stuff, after logging off and closing the server for the night, I came back the next day, and we started playing again. But when I started loading in new chunks, there were absolutely zero plants, no trees, no grass, no nothing. No mobs were spawning either, I spent hours searching for anything, but there was absolutely nothing on the surface. I unfortunately don't have the world file anymore, but it was a haunting experience.

I swear I've seen natural iron golems before 1.14. There were some really big villages that could spawn back in the day, and there were seeds that people would go to for this.

I had this superflat desert world a long time ago, at spawn I turned around and was met with an island of forest in the sand. The weirdest thing was that it wasn't flat like the rest of the world.

I don’t know if anyone else has put this, but you should totally do the repeating seeds in Minecraft bedrock that have infinite caves and structures that go on in a diagonal line. Edit: It’s in the next video now, thanks

Ive actually experienced the bug on bedrock with the portal room not spawning. It sucked because we had spent more than 15 hours on the world at that point. I found out it was a mineshaft that was blocking it.

A bit late but I found an old seed on beta around 1.8.2 time? there was a generated 6-7 tall sugar cane I came across. thought it was quirky & mined it. wish I had more info. great vid as well, unlocked a memory for me. ^^

for some reason I remember finding an extremely tall sugar cane or cactus while I was playing modded once, it must have been because of the mods or something because it definitely didn't have the criteria of water being next to it

I know I've definitely seen a natural iron golem in older minecraft, I have a distinct memory of spawning next to a village with one, hitting it and instantly dying

My rarest anomaly is finding a villaged that bugged and the game only spawned 7 path blocks. I went to chunkbase and there was indeed supposed to be a village there

The anomaly of missind end portal happened with me and my friend in our current survival world, more than once actually, that world has a lot of rendering issues, we had to walk thousands of blocks and spent more than one day just to kill the ender dragon. I tought it wasnt rare since it happened quite some times with me as I remember

Back around minecraft 1.6, i had a hardcore superflat world that was bugged out. I went to a village and all the buildings were split in half with the other half being stacked on top of the buildings. Sometimes it allowed for more loot from blacksmiths not correctly estimating where the main chest shouldve been so it spawned another. I was like 11 at the time and didn't know how mods worked, so this was all vanilla. I've never seen anyone mention any other world like it or seeing any world similar to that one, especially with the structure stacking that i experienced.

To find the second anomaly, snapshot 20w14infinite might be good. Since it has over 2 billion dimensions, and you can have single biome dimensions. And all of those dimensions are affected by the different seeds.

I sadly don't remember the seed anymore, but back in the day there was a fairly popular seed where you spawned in a village big enough to have the rare iron golem in it.

I may have already written this under the previous episode but anyway... I casually speedrun 1.16.1, just for fun, my PB is something like 21:57 so absolutely nothing remotely pro, but still I generated thousands of different worlds. I think that when the world generates, the terrain is generated first and then potential structures overhaul the existing blocks. For example, first normal caves generate and then mineshafts are generated, removing the stone and adding blocks like planks or rails. Sometimes it leads to anomalies like grass or flowers being generated inside a village house or something. In the Nether it's similar for fortresses. They of course generate with these longs hallways that "carve" into the netherrack. In one world I saw such a tunnel going into the open terrain and there was literally a floating block of fire above it! Just like plants spawn on grass, fire can spawn on netherrack, so probably the seed generated the terrain first, with fire on a netherrack block, and then the fortress hallway removed the block underneath the fire but left the fire itself just floating because it wasn't updated in any way. I literally saw it only once in my life I think and it was super cool. I don't know the seed unfortunately :/

i remember weird stuff in the old days of pocket edition. on several occasions I'd log in to my survival world w/o cheats enabled and I'd have creative-only items or items I had no way of getting yet, mostly spider/creeper spawn eggs and lingering potions pre-end.

3:49 I had a Bedrock speedrun seed. abandoned village, ravine, stronghold, mob spawner and nether fortress right at spawn. Sadly, an amethyst cave generated right where the portal was when the Amethyst update came out.

The issue with allot of the Bedrock bugs is that they refuse to patch anything that isn't generally easy to come across, this means absurdly rare seeds and distance-related bugs are just completely ignored, making going far out something regrettable (You an literally just fall through the wortd)

I love playing on bedrock because this one time a broken nether portal spawned inside a house and burnt the whole village down, very fun to come back to after being afk lol. also this one time a broken nether portal spawned in the water and the lava was on top of the water but didnt turn into stone/obsidian which was cool

In whatever version of bedrock edition I was playing before I switched to Java, it was INCREDIBLY likely to not have a portal room in the stronghold. I played many worlds with many strongholds without portals. It felt like a 1/3rd of them didn’t have portal rooms which was very frustrating.

I remember there used to be a bedrock bug where in most worlds mineshafts would continually spawn basically on top of one another and around other ones as well and this made it to where you could have like endless mineshafts as far as the eye could see in the regular game

I remember one time I was playing with friends on the old xbox version and we found a desert village and a savanna village that generated in the same location, with houses merged with other houses and all. Those were the good days

There was a way in older versions of minecraft to force the game to spawn a neverending village by using the world options that were unfortunately later removed.

I am currently going into seed finding, i probably want to look for natural iron golem, but definitely gonna take a while

I remember when the iron golem was first added to Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition back in 2013 or 2014, I found an iron golem that spawned naturally in a village. Granted, it was a super flat world, and that is the only time pre-1.14 I ever saw a naturally spawned iron golem.

Bedrock has been notoriously infamous for it's wacky yet funny seeds, one of which has taken the cake for being the most ridiculous and broken of them all. It has 7 different structures crammed into a space that's smaller than the average 2 story house, and if you don't believe me, crackedmagnet has the answer.

I can't wait for _spoopy_ anomalies in Minecraft. Just like that one seed where the mountain looks like a monster face. (Also, you can play on older versions of PE. Just not "legally" lol)

if you think about it many of these rare seeds have been found several times, maybe even those "not found yet" seeds have been found before by people who didn't stumble upon these bugs, or didn't notice or just didn't post online and forgot about it. maybe even I myself found some rare bug that I don't remember

A few years ago I had a stronghold in the ocean under an "island" which only formed to host an abandoned village, and it was super close to my base- so of course the combination of being in the water, being next to a monument, and being under a village prohibited the end portal. I wish I had gotten to document it but that xbox doesn't exist anymore

I know I am super late but I 100% remember seeing a natural iron golem in a normal world. I knew it was pretty rare but I didn't take any screenshot. I was on one of those later 1.8.X versions (during the super long wait for 1.9). I remember the village being quite long in one direction. It wasn't a desert village either.

I remember a few years ago me and my friend started a survival world on his xbox, and after a few weeks of playing at his house we went to the stronghold and there was no portal room. Found out a bit later that there was a chance on bedrock for them not to spawn, but i never knew it was really rare

I play modded 1.7.10 Minecraft and never realized natural iron golems were so rare! One of the mods I use changes villages a bit (adds walls around the village, some new structures, etc.) and I've seen several with iron golems. I think I have seen at least one village in the past in vanilla Minecraft with a natural iron golem, but that would have been a long time ago.

I found a seed that had a complete sideways shipwreck impaled by an ice spike way above see level. It was in a bugged world but it was still cool

In middle school at a sleep over me and two of my friends stayed up all night prepping to fight the ender dragon, but when we found the stronghold it was just two empty hallways. we dug all around it but there was nothing else. Crazy knowing how rare it was, unfortunately i dont have the seed or version to prove it, but at the time we were just super disappionted.

Hey Rovant, I know you have talked about endportals on java in the first video of this series, but I just thought of the world where there's every endportal overgenerated by some structure, therefore the world is unbeatable. I love the irony that Mojang originally made the conditions for an iron golem to spawn so rare that it may not be possible for natural iron golems to generate.

I once had the portal not spawn in Java, back when I tried speed running. The portal room was empty

another bedrock anomalie is that some nether fortresses don’t have the chest rooms/ nether berries I found around 3 of them.. so its either not that rare or I’m just extremely unlucky

Back in 2013 I remember a world I made with a village that was next to a jungle temple. I thought that it was part of the village. Im not sure but when I came across this place I found a Iron golem (I thought it was a robot protecting them or something). This was in the version 1.4.8 or 1.5.2 I tried recovering this world but it is long gone.

I remember finding an exetenely rare seed that got overlapped by like 4 villages and literally had it's own iron golem back when Minecraft bedrocks was once, Minecraft pe with the really old UI, I don't remember it but I do know it involved 2,4s and of course the seed had 4 digits

3:48 I have that one! I made a copy to try and find it in creative to skip the whole eye thing, but once I got there the stronghold only had 3 rooms. So I blew up the are and still found nothting. I'll dorp the seed the seed tomorrow.

I mean that bedrock one where end portal does not generate would be very frustrating to stumble upon one myself, but it can be actually a nice feature if implemented correctly, like an new type of structure, abandoned stronghold

My friends and I were doing a manhunt thing on bedrock a while back, and I lost because the stronghold I went to while chased didn’t generate an end portal. Eyes of Ender still led me there

4:28 I believe I randomly found a seed myself that has a stronghold with no portal room in bedrock edition. If there is a portal somewhere I couldn’t find it. This has gotta be rare unless someone else has found this already, and yes it’s in the current version. The seed is: 4464563995738331593 And the coordinates are: -827, -42, 1788

I’ve had a super tall sugar cane spawn before on one of my worlds. Unfortunately it was quite a few years ago and I no longer have the seed. It was something crazy like 25 blocks tall.

I saw a natural iron golem on the xbox 360 edition one of the first times I played at around 8 years old. I remember it because me and my brother were scared of it (despite being in creative) because we didn't know what it was and thought it was an albino enderman

1:16 i encountered one back in the day on super flat I remember very clearly finding a golem with a flower in his hands it is definitely possible and did happen

I can confirm about the stronghold portal room glitch as it’s happened to me multiple times in the past but it has gotten a lot better as of now. In 1.14 it was so bad that we found two separate strongholds that did not have a end portal(we blew up everything in creative on a copy) I also have the seed of the 1.14 world and only have one of the broken strongholds coordinates the other lost due to time. I can provide it if you would like.

also, as far as im aware, there are no natural waterfalls that generate in the game. instead, sometimes the game will generate singular blocks of water exposed to air on one side, like on the side of a cave or mountan. this will create a waterfall, but it wont generate in already like that, once you load in the world it spawns the singular water blocks, and then they flow, this means that likely a really tall sugar cane has same chance to spawn in normal places or near a waterfall that happened to flow in that spot/direction.

I have personally seen tall sugarcane on a couple of seeds, but they've never exceeded 4 blocks in height.

I've definitely seen some 5 block tall sugar cane naturally generate in java a few times. i don't remember the conditions but I know I've seen it more than once

The village door thing is so crazy to me, how did nobody test the spawning mechanics to make sure they could actually spawn in realistic scenarios?! Imagine a player just building a nice village for their villager friends and suddenly a mob that nobody’s ever seen just appears out of nowhere! Sounds like something out of an early-internet game rumor!

I for sure saw a natural golem once as a kid. Obviously I was a kid so I don't have the seeds anymore, but I vaguely remember it being a plains village. I don't think anybody could ever find it tho cause it was a random creative world so it was probably pretty far from spawn. Either way I know I've seen it happen once.

The example you showed for the sugarcane can’t be possible because water doesn’t flow until it’s been generated. It would have to be some glitches floating water sources

I can confirm that from all my time exploring servers I have seen at least 1 4 block tall cactus and sugarcane. I also need to note that this was on bedrock before the world weneration was made the same on both.

The seeds that cant be found without natural spawning golems is not possible, but at the same time it is, because there is a chance for the villages to naturally spawn 1 once the area is loaded, ive had this happen many times in 1.12.2

I actually really like that structures overlap in bedrock, I think its fun to occasionaly walk by an odd structure and think "Wow what are the chances of that?" For example, I once found a desert village with a desert temple buried beneath it, only the top few blocks sticking out in the center of rhe village. Going into felt like I was in a scene from Indiana Jones.

Back in 1.4-1.5 I got iron golems to naturally generate in my player created village

I found a 7 tall sugar cane, in a jungle biome in one snapshot. Two lakes generated on top of one another, I guess the sugarcane was in fact two different ones generated on the same spot.

not sure if this counts but when i was playing education edition on an nycdoe ipad (close enough to bedrock), i spawned in a 1.17 world, which put me very close to a village. after a bit of progression, i discovered the village was above a massive underground ruined portal. while excavating the place out, i found some basalt but didnt think much of it. "Maybe the portal overwrote an amethyst geode." Nope, it overwrote HALF of the geode, so the other half was under the ruined portal, which was under the village. Tl:DR: I found an amethyst geode under a ruined portal under a village

I've managed to find a 5 block tall sugar cane myself in a random seed survival world. Never found one of those again
