These trunks from the 30's and 40's represent a bygone era when the elite would travel on luxury ships and steam trains for weeks at a time; sometimes they would have 10 or even 20 of these commissioned trunks and cases. Brands like Louis Vuitton, Goyard and Hermes still make bespoke luggage on special order at astronomically high prices but even the wealthy don't really travel like this anymore. Theres no need to when you can be on the other side of the world in less than a day.

Not sure if it was made clear in the audio but that travel case with the travel decal on the side was from the SS France (I think someone may have said QE2). I have not been able to find deck plan with enough detail to show cabin U53 but will edit the comment if I do.

The pricing on these is way out, ridiculous. Get them over here in the uk for a fraction of the quoted price, also the JFM case is from the 1960,s clueless.

All LV trunks and bags are made from PVC coated canvas so AKA vinyl. They do NOT use leather for the monogram material, they DO use it for straps and handles.
