Jáquez Droz is an amazing brand with lots of history. ALS is getting very popular and their prices are skyrocketing, only 5K watches a year. But, that Vacheron is insanely beautiful.

Something funky has been happening with the relationships in the recent videos. Michael seems more curt than usual, Adam plays a much smaller role, and interactions with some of the “personalities” seem strained. Hope all is well

Agree! Most of the videos are quite boring as of late. You can clearly see that the chanel has turned in to ”business/job” instead of they having fun. Also notice how nervously Seth says to Michael ”you havent bought any watch from me in a long time” stating that he does not support him anymore.

Seth is awesome. Glad he was given a chance to prove all the “market is collapsing” speculators wrong. Prices might dip even further sure, but thats what happens during a global recession lol. Don’t expect to be able to buy a platinum daydate by just walking in and asking for one. Don’t expect a daytona with a discount. Those days are long gone.

Great and thoughtful video. I've read that for some of these maisons, not only one guy working for a year, or a team, but to produce or have on staff that level of craftsmen can take several generations of apprentices. That is where some of the costs comes from, I think.

Great to see some real world watches getting air time. Michael struggles to like them as they are not in his price range, but still, he can see the attraction - after all, it's all about how the watch makes you feel when you wear it, NOT the price.

20:06 "How does a watch manifacturer justifies an $800K price tag, or more?" Well, that watch is not just any watch, that's a Perpetual Calendar, Flying Tourbillon and Minute Repeater with close to a thousand components, and they didn't make many of them, considering the R&D cost behind a piece like that and the fact that it is entirely hand finished and hand assembled, which will require an insane amount of hours worth of work, I'd say the price tag is very well justified to the eyes of someone who knows and appreciate the watch and the brand. Personally I'd rather by that Vacheron Constantin for $800K than an $800K watch from Jacob&Co with diamonds all over it, because that is a proper watch, from a distinguished brand with 260+ years of experience and know-how. But that's just my opinion✌️
