I came back to HS two weeks ago after a two year break and it's wild to me how current standard decks are so powerful. Every metadeck straight up beats every old wild deck I have. Good for Blizzard, I really wanted to get back into the game so I bought packs. I guess that's what they're going for, after all.

maybe try something similar called the champion games? ive played it with my friend and it was acctually quite cool basically we were only allowed one minion per deck and neither of us were allowed to interact with the minion (basically kill it, you could still attack with it, just not the opponents minion, if the minion died to its own fault it was also not considered the opponents fault (bolf ramshield)), it was interesting to see what we came up with and mechathun and ilgynoth were the most fun ones we came up with

When Rarran talked about how brutal Wild is, I felt that. I've been OTK'd by a mine rogue on turn 4 once, and I've had someone concede against my Pirate deck on turn 2 after coining out a Toy Boat and filling the board with pirates, while drawing another full hand.

Another problem with spectral cutlass is that it kind of relies on randomly generating cards from other classes. Many of the ways to generate cards from other classes generate minions, so doesn'r really work in this format.

Hi Rarran, potential video idea for you: Blind Hearthstone game. You have a friend go into a standard match and they get to physically make the moves and plays but they must listen to what you say while you are blindfolded. Your partner can relay information to you such as hand size, health of your opponent, what your opponent played and their attacks and whatnot but you have to visualize that all in your head essentially. They do this in chess games sometimes where a grandmaster plays blindfolded.

It's been a couple expansions since then but me and my friend liked to play a custom game type where the point is to kill yourself as fast as possible. It was very fun, you could do tricks like giving your opponent a lifesteal minion using Silas and hitting your face into it. Not sure how well it would work with current cards though.

Format idea: You can only bring exactly 1 card from each set. Not a playset, just one card. Highlander cards are banned (Reno, Kazakus, Raza, etc.)

In the first game Rarran would have lost anyway, he was gonna take 10 fatigue damage and it would have been very easy dealing the remaining 6 damage

Next challenge is gonna be "Hearthstone but we can only use our hero powers". Altho if really want a actual challenge idea, how about "hearthstone but its lore accurate"? You can only use weapons and minions and spells that where used by the hero you are playing as in the lore of world of warcraft, stuff like Arthas with invincible and frostmor and Thrall with the doom hammer and the dragon aspects
