Thank you very much for making this video. There are a lot of hidden screws I wouldn't have known about without it!

Yes its a Crucial SSD M4 with 128GB (fits perfectly), i also had the Samsung 830 series in it.

good video, but why do you put little screws on the edge of the table?

Great video. I saw that you had a Crucial drive. I recently ordered this Asus and was wanting to swap out my Crucial SSD M4 out of my Toshiba NB305 netbook into this Asus. Is this the same drive that you have? I just want to make sure it will fit dimensionally. If it fits, it should just run right up? Or do you think I would have to make changes within files in the drive?

Is it really necessary to remove the screws from the top (under the keyboard)? Cause it seems that these screws are only to fix the motherboard, but not the back cover. --> My goal is just to change the HDD by a SSD. ;)

+tsmemphi afaik the backcover part was connected with the other side of the keyboard somehow. The steps you see are the minimum you have to do to change the HDD. I took them from a "repair manual" from asus

can you quote the minute where you can't follow? maybe i can give a additional hint. I wasnt up for talking 25minutes while next to nothing happens ;)

Mine needs a new CMOS battery. Looking at this performance I don't think I'll bother.

To be honest it didn't feel complicated for me, I only needed some time. But I'm glad that the video was valuable to you either way.

Raincatchfire, it is people like yourself that make me wonder how the human race goes on. RIGHT IN FRONT OF YOUR FACE, and you don't see what is happening!! Don't NEED no stinking words. Back magically popped off my ass. Excellent video rarspace01!! You did scare me a little with the way your were handling the flat tip, but looks like it came out alright. No damage done. I'd suggest a Spudger Tool next time.

I really don't like how you spend about 15 minutes taking off the screws on the back (useless), but you don't say a single word while fingering the thing for like 4 minutes before the back magically pops off.

Not Impressed at all. Very heavy handed way of taking apart a laptop, and the tools you used were totally inappropriate. For sure you left some marks and scuffs on the plastic.
