My boyfriend/fiancee had Leukemia. After six years, his body stopped responding to the treatments. I cried for days after hearing the news, but he didn't. He said that he wasn't afraid. On October 12, 2012, Zach passed away surrounded by the ones he loved and with a smile on his face. I played this song at his viewing because it was always his favorite. RIP Zach. While their I met my friend. For several months we faught the unknown together. She had already been fighting cancer for a long time when we came to be. She passed away. I remember so dearly the short time I had her in my life. When I went yrs later to Atlantic City to preform after 9/11 I danced on fabric to this song. I had gone through trials of life became a United States Marine and them found my music. We my friend and I danced this song. I cracked at the end when her date to the prom took of his hat. This hits home for me cause my mum had thoride cancer she got the op early last year. She had it for three years I think. I went with her to the Doctors, and they told her that she had cancer, it was the day before I started year 8. The good news is that she doesn't have it anymore which is good and hopefully it never comes back.

i am currently fighting cancer. I have been fighting now for over two years and travel over 11 hours every few months to see if it continues to progress. Some days I dont want to keep going yet others I want to fight like hell. I get scared every time I get sick in not knowing if the cancer is getting the best of me. My sister has also had cancer. we have no contact her choice not mine. LIfe is really hard when you are fighting something like cancer and wonder if there will be a cure any time in your life time or not. I use to listen to this song all the time and wonder how a person could get threw each day knowing they have cancer. Now I am in that shoe. It is the hardest battle to stay positive in life. Each day I have to focus on what I have and not what I could have in life. I am so thankful I have my faith in GOd. That is what truely keeps me going each and everyday. Everytime i hear this song i cry because almost 7 years ago when i was 11 i was diagnosed with cancer and as i sat in the ER with my parents, just minutes after receiving the news this song came on the tv that was in my room. It was crazy. I remember it like it was yesterday. I have been done with treatment for four and a half years. I'm a survivor and it feels amazing to be alive and say that i've kicked leukemias ass.

I've had two different types of cancer the first time when I was 5 years old lost my left eye and the second time when I just turn 34 I had just finish law school was about to start my job on a police department, everything was going as plan til I started having pain in my side, dr gave me 6months to live that was 10-31-2012, but im not sad I cant wait to dance with the angels and to see family and friends that has gone on before me.
