FOX 13 News has obtained surveillance video and pictures from several recent retail thefts across Puget Sound, and many are wondering what can be done to stop these crimes.
Video captured an apparent retail theft happening at a Covington Fred Meyer on September 27.
FOX 13 News reporter AJ Janavel stumbled upon a crime happening in the act. He announced that he was a reporter to two people who were wearing masks, and who left the Fred Meyer with a cart full of cases of beer.
One of the people address Janavel as he record the situation saying, "That little petty theft charge ain’t going to do s*** anyway. Record that."

Beat someone to death in 2008 and still on the streets and stealing and being a low life. At some point the judges that just keep letting these people go need to be prosecuted since they are basically an accomplice because of their failure to protect law abiding citizens and businesses from these repeat offenders. This countries justice and political systems go hand in hand and they are both as corrupt as it gets.

No one walks around with me to make sure or record me, but I don’t do garbage thing because I govern myself to not be a garbage person. If you poach then everything you used to commit the act they take the offenders clothing, guns, hunting licens, drivers license, car, if you take it to your house they take your house You want to take then we take from you. No fine, no jail time, just take anything that you used and auction it off. Solves a whole lot of issues cost 0.

It should all be added up together this theft The next step last step and what's the total equals a felony. Somebody who's hungry and stole lunch isn't going to hit the felony level, if this isn't food it ought to be a felony no matter what it is. And it's the matter is food that might be somebody that you can help solve their issue if they're hungry and desperate for a hand to stand up as he can take care of themselves is a different category. Far and few between. I would like to see big businesses like home Depot put vault door type doors that lock and confine the thieves trying to escape. An expensive proposition, the alternative is even worse. Doing all of your grocery shopping and paying on your telephone before driving up to the pickup window at the grocery store, where a dumbwaiter conveyor is the only interaction a customer has directly with the store so that no employees have contact with customers. Employees can become the biggest thieves. A robotic dumb waiter system doesn't require employees, only somebody to load the vending machine size of a grocery store cut in half because you don't need the walkways and you can stack to the ceiling. The new Amazon Plus store where you can't touch anything except a button that will dispense the product. High Street, by appointment only. Looking more like a telephone switching building than an apartment store with picture windows filled with posters of goods locked within. Shopping safe and secure by appointment only, guests will not be subjected to armed robbers or masturbators at the front door or windows by the dining area. There is a shortage of police that are clueless because of lack of information. Thousands of drones have replaced fireworks dancing in the sky with a :-) and turning Russian tanks into Jack in the boxes. Surely IBM smart cities and Microsoft and Boeing could collaborate and compete to bring armed drones powered by AI to assist in eliminating the problem of open-air drugs and crime. And a prosecuting attorney that understands three times equals a felony even if it's a misdemeanor. If housing costs of prisoners is too high, perhaps they could be made profitable leasing them to Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, and Florida inmate leasing programs. Inmates can be trained on how to move a mountain over there and back if nothing else, by hand. Let them work with their hands to pay seven times what they owe if they only stole food, how much work can their hands do for a cup of cold cornmeal and rice to compensate for a life. There are no penalties. Where's my b****** at? Back at the pen. I'll be going back in 2 weeks! It's a sign of pride. They don't have to wander the streets anymore wondering where their next meal is coming from. Do they keep the jail a comfortable 58° in the winter that they be afforded their own personal copy of their Holy Bible 'Free on the Inside, Reader's Edition". How Sweet the words, burnt onto my heart, I would never go to jail again. If it ain't working something's broke and you need to change the approach to everything. The Ayn Rand, laissez-faire approach seemingly is having dire consequences, Nationwide. Seemingly both parties without any answers except their own laissez-faire approach. Every neighborhood is turning into a prison camp as all the prisoners now roam the neighborhoods instead of the prison. You abuse freedom you lose it. They don't have problems like this in North Korea where people know how to act. Popular dictatorship of Singapore ensures a high level of freedom to do the right things that are good while executing drug addicts that cannot be cured. My mother used a belt on me for discipline. She didn't buy me an ice cream for discipline. In Afghanistan they're doing clean sweeps. They don't have money for treatment centers there, and they're picking everyone up that they can off the streets and packing them in. A horrendous, grueling experience packed together by The hundreds, many leave thankful to be cured to never come back. Changes on the horizon to save the city and the country or it's all going to turn into Detroit. If you want to cut inflation by 30% at the store get rid of the thieves.

Americans need to be on guard against apathy. You can do something, you can make a difference. They are. I've had to steal to eat and feed others, this pisses me off. I only ever took food, and it didn't go to waste like the stuff I see thrown all over our streets with indifference

You don't need to steal food. There is so much wild food that's good to eat just need to learn about it

@@Cj-qt2ls there was no way to subsistence forage I. The dead of winter. At least we weren't one of the four folks who froze to death that year. I'm a child of God, I know when it's all taken into context he'll understand

They should make a example of Chambers and his lackies. Give them max sentences and finds. They need to punish not coddle theses criminals. I’m all for bringing back labor camps. They need to make committing crimes as unattractive as possible. I’d even vote in you lose a finger if you’re caught stealing under the age of 16. Then you have a scarlet letter or finger per say. I believe Singapore does public canings for things like theft. I’m all for it. My work, personal truck got stolen and was found parted out. I spent 5 days reconditioning the snow plow I bought for it. All that time and money wasted. Criminal’s also broke into my lot and stole 15k in catalytic converters from my trucks. They also broke windows and windshields on my trucks for no apparent reasons. I’ve been hit 3 Times. The police have been rendered useless now. Basically they told me there’s nothing they can really do. I even have camera footage of the crimes. I’m fed up and I feel like my hands are tied unless I protect my property with force. I’ve welded barbwire around the converters and now remove the batteries from my work trucks when they are sitting in my lot. I’ve also Jerry rigged mase bombs booby traps in my plow trucks.

The fall of civilization brought to you by the fellas & their lovely ladeez. Evolution cut them off like a bartender at closing time long before anyone else ever encountered them, leaving osmosis as their only possible path for growth which history has shown.
