Always find Trinidad Calypso , Soca and it's music history gets sadly over looked compared to Jamaica with Ska and Reggae yet Trinidad has the longest history.

Lord Melody (1926-1988) is without a reasonable doubt took Harry Belafonte to mega stardom in America with his compositions. My last meeting with this legend at this level of existence was at Lord Lester's residence on Observatory Street in Port of Spain. There was always something funny and mixed with intelligence that used to emanate from his being. It was around 1985 and he was with a Young Calf evidently going to slaughter! R.I.P. (Return If Possible) Lord Melody.

I was a young boy visiting Trinidad for my first carnival with my cousin in 1979. We danced to this song for 3 weeks every night, until the sun came up!
