I lived through this period but not in hardcore parties like this, much softer in Belgium and i'm happy to have know this. It was great, everyone was having fun and dancing all the night, rarely any violence. I look sometimes vidéos of party of now, its boring, no one dances, it's dead, everyone hands up with their phones.

For anyone who's curious: This is in the Netherlands, it's a dance style called Hakken and the music is (usually) Gabber, which is a variation of hardcore techno music from Rotterdam. Gabber was a huge phenomenon among Dutch youth back in the 90s.

Forget my year being born in 96, wish this was the peak of myself vibing in 97.. late 2000’s of trance had me spiritually connected throughout my 20s, just isn’t the same to feel the moments in the 90s when hardstyle begun, , but in comparison to trance, it is what began to be an emotional transition of society... and music style is the first step to knowing how the next decade will go... it is not good, to say the least of how 2020’s is going.

I cant stop watching this video. This might actually be my favorite video on this whole website. Sure many of them look hella weird, but they all have a great time dancing and loving each other. Its like timetravel to a time where people simply had fun and no concerns.
